Nico Collins with strong words of support for Jim Harbaugh

"If you think he’s not the right coach, you’re wrong," Collins said. "He’s a great coach. He’s a coach that played in the NFL, coached in the NFL, and knows exactly how to coach his players. If you want a great team to go to and a great coach to be coached by, go to the University of Michigan

I have a kid who is a college athlete and who got Covid in his off-season. Once he was free of symptoms, he had to go through a cardiac protocol of expensive testing (not covered by our insurance, btw) because doctors have seen a higher incidence of myocarditis among athletes. I'm not trying to open that can of myocarditis worms again, but if the doctors that we spoke to think there is a higher incidence of myocarditis in athletes than in non-athletes, I'm going with their educated opinion. If a kid doesn't want to take that risk, who's to question that?

He literally said in an interview he was going to play and when the big ten dragged their feet for fucking weeks after their initial decision, nico had to focus on his future.

Not his problem the big ten fucked up a lot of these kids decisions

But you're not only wrong, you're wrong in a way that is putting down a distinguished student athlete for sitting down with their family and making a difficult personal and career choice in the face of many unknowns.

So, as previously stated, STFU forever. The board & fandom will be better off without your stupid flaming Hot takes*.

[*] I recently read the definition that a hot take is a "piece of deliberately provocative commentary that is based almost entirely on shallow moralizing", which is a nearly perfect encapsulation of the reason that you need to STFU forever. Your reasoning ability is bad and you suck at the very basics of being a person.

When a former player who might have ample reason to be angry or disappointed with how he was underutilized in his college career praises his former head coach, the reaction of normal people is to be happy, if even a bit surprised, and leave it at that.

Perpetually miserable people have a compulsion to play a different role on a message board.

If I recall correctly, someone around these parts used to keep track of all-time neg-bangs in a single thread.  Is it possible username03 is coming close to the title in this one?  Or after the year we have just been through, the record was put well out of reach and today's thread is just a minor blip compared to some of those?

Interesting comments no doubt.  Collins is at the point where he has no incentive to talk nice about Harbaugh, so you don't have to take these comments with a grain of salt.

He’s right. That was nice of Nico to say that. I think this team has potential next year. We need a starting caliber transfer LBer and maybe a corner and I think we’ll surprise a lot of people.
