Players need to injure refs. Seriously, players need to cause bodily harm to refs and make them afraid.
Not even a lions fan but what the fuck was that shit show of a game.
October 14th, 2019 at 11:42 PM ^
What we witnessed tonight was some classic David Stern-Michael Jordan bullshit straight from the early 90's.
October 15th, 2019 at 2:07 AM ^
I mean I was a kid but weren't Jordan and the Bulls...just good?! I get you guys oved Isaiah Thomas and they were rivals for a few years but...what am I missing?!
October 15th, 2019 at 3:37 AM ^
" but....what am I missing?"
That Jordan was allowed to rake the Pistons arms and steal the ball without ever being whistled. Meanwhile, if the Pistons so much as breathed in his direction WHISTLE!!
October 15th, 2019 at 8:34 AM ^
Boy, ohh boy, is that the truth. You think Lebron gets some beneficial officiating? LOL!!! He's abused by the refs in comparison to some of the stuff Jordan got away with! Especially in the playoffs.
I mean, the dude was a fucking stud - he did not need that to be good...
October 15th, 2019 at 12:45 PM ^
Good Lord, man. Looking at Jordan was grounds for a foul. And he would brazenly mug guys himself, and get away with it on the regular. And when he actually was called for a foul . . . oh, the indignation!
October 14th, 2019 at 11:42 PM ^
Hell, even if the Lions were up 21 points in the 4th, I think the refs would have come up with with enough bullshit calls to give the packers the victory in the end! FUCK PACKERS!!
October 14th, 2019 at 11:43 PM ^
They call the hands to the face but missed the holding by the LT on Flowers more than twice. Again, B1G refs are better than that.
October 14th, 2019 at 11:44 PM ^
FUCK JOHN O'NEIL, I don't even care that he wasn't there, fuck him anyway.
Damned Lions fucked over tonight by the refs MULTIPLE times in one game, the refs were bound and determined to first of all keep Green Bay in the game, and then do what it takes to gift wrap it for them in the end, too.
October 14th, 2019 at 11:46 PM ^
Nothing will come of this...we will all move on to our next outrage within 48 hours.
October 14th, 2019 at 11:48 PM ^
Always and forever. This is the worst year of officiating ever, and the season is very early still. Between safety and shitty fucking rules and officials the nfl is killing their product and the game. Hard to accept, regardless of teams involved
October 15th, 2019 at 12:07 AM ^
There’s nothing like catching a TD pass from the refs in the end zone to win the game.
Refs -10
GB -13
DET -22
October 14th, 2019 at 11:51 PM ^
NFL is a joke. It was more than those 3 bad calls.
October 14th, 2019 at 11:51 PM ^
Poor Flowers man. He was barely holding it together there.
October 14th, 2019 at 11:52 PM ^
Wow this is the most agreement I’ve ever seen in an mgoblog thread. It’s like a fucking posbang and honestly it’s warranted. When the announcers are calling it out you know it’s egregious.
October 14th, 2019 at 11:53 PM ^
As someone who is not a Lions fan, wow, that was bad. Two hands to the face penalties that were not even remotely close and so much other BS
October 14th, 2019 at 11:54 PM ^
*DEEP BREATH* Ahhhhhhh Schadenfreude ist gut
October 14th, 2019 at 11:56 PM ^
Sons of bitches must have had some action. Now my piece of shit co-worker is crowing all over Facebook about the state of Wisconsin owning the state of Michigan.
October 15th, 2019 at 12:02 AM ^
I'm a Browns fan.
I watched that game and I thought it was complete BS. The sack call would have completely changed the game.
The second call was even worse.
The NFL are shamed by these refs.
October 15th, 2019 at 1:31 AM ^
I was actually thinking to myself before both of those calls that the refs were doing a surprisingly good job in this one. Boy do things change quick!
October 15th, 2019 at 1:31 AM ^

October 15th, 2019 at 12:06 AM ^
I never thought I would be up at 12 am so upset about a Lions game that I couldn't sleep. Yet here I am, at least it was on national tv?
October 15th, 2019 at 12:11 AM ^
I’m so sick of this shit. Every f’n year. It’s either the Lions doing it to themselves, or the refs f’n is over and over. This is torture. Every year. You know, the Same Old Lions thoughts gmcome in your head when you are beating Green Bay well and it appears nothing will go wrong and then they lose at the end to Rio your hearts out. Stupid f’n refs. Stripes can lick my balls.
October 15th, 2019 at 12:12 AM ^
Raw with no lube right in the ASS!!!!! OUCH.
October 15th, 2019 at 12:42 PM ^
Seems to be a theme on the board last night/today . . .
October 15th, 2019 at 12:15 AM ^
This is exactly why I stopped watching the NFL about a decade ago.
(Calvin Johnson. “Football motion” = not possible if you’ve received the ball in the end zone. It’s a dead ball at that instant. The play ends. You don’t have to do a dance. If you caught the ball, the play is over. There’s no “football motions”. You have it or you don’t. Judgement call, fine. But don’t contradict your own rules and the history of the game.)
October 15th, 2019 at 12:27 AM ^
Right, same with falling out of bounds. NFL ball in hand, 2 feet down, cut! Doesn’t matter what happens after. It’s the stupidest most over analyzed rule ever. And it’s wrong!
October 15th, 2019 at 12:15 AM ^
Refs need to be paid more money and their finances need to be agreed to be investigated thoroughly every season.
I don’t see how this game was not fixed.
October 15th, 2019 at 12:37 AM ^
I'm not a fan of either team (although I do hate the packers), but that was some bullshit.
October 15th, 2019 at 12:54 AM ^
This is stupid. Refs screwed Lucky Lions that were clearly outplayed based huge deficits in time of possession, first downs (22-13) and total yards (447- 299).
October 15th, 2019 at 4:41 AM ^
Hey BoFan Im not even a Lions fan but I'm smart enough to know that the no-call pass interference penalty and the first bogus hands to the face penalty was enough to cause a 100 yard swing in yards and changed the time of possession greatly in favor of GB Those stats were greatly altered on just two of the 4 hortible calls that went against Det
October 15th, 2019 at 10:45 AM ^
Stats have to be used in context with the game as lions LED wire-to-wire and never trailed so and also had shortfields due to turnovers. Green Bay never had a chance to even take the lead with the football until very late that's how dominant Lions were
October 15th, 2019 at 1:07 AM ^
Can’t stand the “the lions had plenty of chances” comments. Plenty of teams win with multiple field goals. Had nothing to do with referees changing the outcome
October 15th, 2019 at 1:10 AM ^
I’m not even a Lions fan but the NFL has to do something about these refs. They should be an afterthought of the game, but instead they’re consistently the center of attention for their shitty calls which only get corrected weeks later once the call is irrelevant.
I have to wonder how these guys are evaluated and if there’s punishments for incorrect or missed calls.
October 15th, 2019 at 1:14 AM ^
This is literally the first NFL game that I watched for more than one quarter this season. And I quickly remembered why I don't watch and don't care. Give me college football all day, every day.
October 15th, 2019 at 2:09 AM ^
If you watch college football due to better officiating, you aren't paying very close attention. I'd like to introduce you to John O'Neil (and he's just the easy one, there are plenty other horrible crews).
October 15th, 2019 at 5:07 AM ^
Amen!
October 15th, 2019 at 1:23 AM ^
What does Marques Slocum have to do with this?
October 15th, 2019 at 1:35 AM ^
Fucked them? They ass raped them, slit their throat, then threw their never to have a chance bodies in a swift river.
Then they sped down the highway and recovered the bodies from a river bend and ass raped them again.
Then they repeated this ritual four more times.
Sick fuckin shit.
October 15th, 2019 at 6:20 AM ^
You may want to get that checked. And by “that”, I mean whatever part of your brain conjured up such a macabre scene.
October 15th, 2019 at 2:06 AM ^
I'm so glad I never put in the effort to be a lions fan, Michigan football causes me so much heartbreak that I can't even imagine waking up on Sundays and being screwed all over again twice as bad. Ultimate respect to people who have the heart to be fans of both teams, but they have to have PTSD levels that are off the charts
October 15th, 2019 at 4:40 AM ^
I'm tired of hearing it simply framed as "the officials"? What refs threw the flags? Post their names and faces. Give them a web page with ref stats that justifies their employment. Pay refs more to take public heat and then maybe you will have a more accountable and competent group of people doing this.
October 15th, 2019 at 6:19 AM ^
This would end badly.
October 15th, 2019 at 5:50 AM ^
What’s an “NFL”?
October 15th, 2019 at 6:38 AM ^
October 15th, 2019 at 7:17 AM ^
A league darling vs a league punching bag . . . who's really surprised here? Certainly not anyone who has watched the NFL over the years.
October 15th, 2019 at 9:28 AM ^
I've been saying this for years. The Lions, Browns, Bengals, Bills, Jaguars, etc. are only in the league so the Patriots, Packers, Steelers, Giants, etc. have other teams to play other than each other. Cannon fodder. They are the Washington Generals of the NFL.
October 15th, 2019 at 7:22 AM ^
Guys, it’s OK...the refs don’t matter
October 15th, 2019 at 7:39 AM ^
each of the last four possessions had bad calls clearly in favor of GB - Johnson's catch (for a 1st down) that was called incomplete, two 'hands to the face' penalties - one that gave GB a first down after a sack, which would have led to a punt... and the pass interference on Jones that was not called (that perhaps Patricia should have challenged?)
