New judge assigned: Carol Kunke
UM grad, not sure if she played football for Bo though
November 10th, 2023 at 10:28 PM ^
Yeah, I am not sure what exactly the standard is and how much 1 and 2 would be weighed. Either way, I think that the team is ready with or without Harbaugh.

I am not a lawyer. So, I don't pass judgment. You started with I don't do. Laid out some reasons and then say you don't know the standard. Shouldn't you ended with I don't know what is going to happen. We all are on pins and needles here.

I have absolutely no clue what any of the lawyer stuff means but I'm 100% this judge will rule in our favor because I'm a delusional, diehard, obsessed Michigan Wolverines fan and the alternative thought is unbearable.
November 10th, 2023 at 10:13 PM ^
Don't know if it's a new judge assignment or that she simply is on call.
November 10th, 2023 at 10:14 PM ^
There was no way a Michigan professor who played football at Michigan was ever going to decide this case.
November 10th, 2023 at 10:15 PM ^
Yeah what is this Ohio?
November 10th, 2023 at 10:14 PM ^
Is she the type of person that likes football or the type of person who thinks The Last Jedi was good
November 10th, 2023 at 10:17 PM ^
Some rando on Twitter said she doesn’t like football culture.
November 10th, 2023 at 10:18 PM ^
AWSOME!
November 10th, 2023 at 10:19 PM ^
How does she feel about pettiness, capriciousness, megalomania, and sycophancy?
November 10th, 2023 at 10:23 PM ^
That can go either way. She may not like Football or the suits.
November 10th, 2023 at 11:14 PM ^
But she likes votes. This is basically a continuance. Enough doubt to delay a decision for a while. This isn't sentencing.
November 10th, 2023 at 10:47 PM ^
Taking that at face value, right now I'd agree with her.
This whole shitshow is why some people hate sports with every fiber of their being.
November 10th, 2023 at 10:17 PM ^
It’s better than the judge being a graduate of any other school. Hopefully she feels the pressure.
November 10th, 2023 at 10:31 PM ^
Merits. You don't want it any other way. We have those.
November 10th, 2023 at 10:18 PM ^
Her term ends in 2025. Up for re-election then I suppose.
November 10th, 2023 at 10:42 PM ^
This.
November 10th, 2023 at 11:17 PM ^
100 percent. It's in her best interest to grant the TRO. It's 100 percent feasible/defensible. Draw it out due to the timing of the decision, if not for more nefarious reasons.
She wins votes in AA. It's the correct decision. The Decision will most likely end up in a higher court.

Just and FYI, the attorneys for UM isn’t the DC guys, they have Hooper Hathaway as their local counsel. I’m guessing Bruce Wallace and/or Angela Jackson as lead.
November 10th, 2023 at 10:43 PM ^
I'd imagine the pro hac motions will be in on Monday.
November 10th, 2023 at 10:45 PM ^
You're correct, Jackson is listed first with Bruce Wallace and Oscar Rodriguez also. Keefe Brooks is representing the Regents as plaintiff. Are there any signals in the tea leaves about Harbaugh listed first and Regents second?
Case No. 23-001419-CB if anyone is looking for a shortcut to refresh the Washtenaw county case records all night.

Can you write this up in a FFFF? Preferably with a diagram showing who's a cyan vs. a star.
November 10th, 2023 at 11:51 PM ^
Fuck the stars, who's wearing the club!!!
November 10th, 2023 at 11:05 PM ^
That does not make me feel confident.
November 10th, 2023 at 10:22 PM ^
Come on Carol let’s put a fucking W on the board!
November 10th, 2023 at 10:23 PM ^
T-minus 97 minutes
November 10th, 2023 at 10:29 PM ^
Would not W&C know all this before hand? Hmmmm.
November 10th, 2023 at 10:31 PM ^
Acting else nervously sipping coffee while mumbling bet over and over?
November 10th, 2023 at 10:38 PM ^
Hopefully, everyone cosiders the impact on the children...
November 10th, 2023 at 10:44 PM ^
Its almost 11 PM. Lets get this unfair suspension suspended.
November 10th, 2023 at 10:51 PM ^
If not for the obvious situational fuckery, this whole episode would be an absolute banner time for Mgoblog.
The comingling of lawyers and dope smoker internet lurking Lebowski “dudes” (but I repeat myself) has been quite entertaining.
I hope that one day, after historic victories and complete vindication, we can add this time to Mgoblog lore, like the days of haloscan and flight tracker
November 10th, 2023 at 10:56 PM ^
B1G and Tony Petitti have retained counsel: David A. Nacht (representing both).
November 10th, 2023 at 11:00 PM ^
Go after him personally for damages
November 10th, 2023 at 10:59 PM ^
If they’re a real judge and care about impartiality and due process this as easy of a layup there ever was. It’s gonna get ugly
November 10th, 2023 at 11:30 PM ^
Carol is an awesome human. West Quad. Chicago House.
November 10th, 2023 at 11:31 PM ^
It's 11:30 PM and I'm starting to sweat.
November 10th, 2023 at 11:43 PM ^
Carol was the judge in Connor's vacuum cleaner case.
