Understandable, we looked pretty bad against Maryland. Lots of reasons for it though and I think Maryland played one of their best games.  Michigan will play with a fire in their belly this week.

And we never trailed Maryland beyond the first FG.

Our tough games - Penn State and Maryland - were their tough games.  We are facing those tough games now while they are facing MSU and Minnesota - teams we crushed.  So, they "look better" at the moment, the way we looked better when we were facing lesser teams.

Henderson looks like he's "turned a corner" recently, but Drew Allar looked like he "turned a corner" too . . . until he faced the Michigan D.

Bad teams have a way of making merely good teams look like great teams.

Our games vs Minnesota and MSU: 101-10 (Road games for us)

OSU vs same: 75-6 (Home games for OSU)

us vs PSU and Maryland- 55-39  (Road Games)

OSU vs same: 57-29 (Home Games)

not really a reason to drop us but I’m not mad.
their toughest game was at home and ours was on the road. I think ND is trash so PSU is the most common opponent.

On top of it the last two weeks we faced incredible adversity on the road in hostile territory. Now we get to go home and have some home cooking!

My take away is we are going to pound them.

This is all about timing.  OSU just dominated Minnesota and Michigan State, teams Michigan destroyed earlier in the season.  Michigan just had close games with Maryland and Penn State, teams OSU had close games with when Michigan was dominating the likes of Indiana and Nebraska.

I also enjoy the people saying Michigan can't throw the ball.  These same people were saying Michigan couldn't run the ball 3 weeks ago.

Honestly, this is false.  No one complained about Michigan's play calling after the MSU or Minnesota games.  Why? Because the play calling was great.

If you do not think people are justified in questioning Moore's offensive play calling in the 2nd half against Maryland...then you are in the camp that thinks no fan can even raise questions, as long as Michigan got the win (no matter that total yardage, the point differential, yard per carry, etc., etc. all under-performed).

Seems like many are overreacting to osu pounding msu and Minnesota. It was just a few weeks ago when they were struggling against Rutgers and Wisconsin. Michigan has dealt with all the off the field crap and went on the road and beat a top 10 team two weeks ago. Yesterday was a bit discouraging, but considering the circumstances it was understandable.

There is absolutely no way that Michigan's win on the road against Maryland would somehow lead to them dipping below a team that, at best, would have skunked an FCS program.

I despise that this site created BPONE or that it rears its head any time something doesn't go absolutely perfectly for Michigan.

This kind of post, which you can't even qualify a little, just doesn't cut it. The D and special teams played fantastically; midway through the third quarter they had 25 rushing yards. Agree that there were questions on offense. Let's hope that JJ is confident and healthy next weekend, and that his protection holds. With two fairly equal teams, it may come down to game plan. Or home field advantage!

Did you watch the game? On two of their scoring drives Tua's bro was dropping perfect passes to keep the chains moving.  Nothing you could do on a few of those.  Our play calling certainly left something to be desired.  Especially throwing 3 straight times when we really needed to run out some clock.  But overall the team didnt play no where near as bad as you are saying.

20-3 before UM lost interest and, as stated by the announcers multiple times during the broadcast, Terps had nothing to lose and it was their biggest chance for a breakthrough.

In my 50+ years of being a fan, UM has found new and interesting ways to lose such a game…yesterday they found a way to win it…1st time, 2 safeties, in at least the last 20 years. BPONE is dead. Let it die!

The week before the Ohio State game, a win is a win.  Knock everything you want about the show that was or was not put on for your personal enjoyment, you are wrong.

If we lose to Ohio State, you can be 100% certain the rest of this board will be right there with you in agony, picking apart every minute detail.  Maryland is not worth it, the game before The Game is not worth it.  Write about something else.

Did you watch the game? Penn St. scored 13 points in the last 9 minutes of the game like this:

  • Taulia throws interception that PSU returns to Maryland 20. PSU FG.
  • Maryland fumbles on their own 26. PSU FG
  • Maryland backup QB throws interception. PSU ball on MD 12. TD

Right before this sequence of events, PSU scored a TD on a short field starting from the Maryland 41.
