ND Right OT Robert Hainsey

Submitted by skegemogpoint on

Calf injury in practice - status unknown.  Will have MRI.  If he's out, then Tommy Kraemer will likely move from OG to OT.

Who cares!

edit - gosh, I was pretending I was in the stadium when they announce the other teams players. Holy smokes, the piranhas are in full force.

FYI OP from the MgoBlog FAQ page:

What should I title my threads?

Please make your thread titles as informative as possible: "Justin Feagin" is bad. "Justin Feagin leaving the team?" is good.

Toss into your title "is injured" at the end and that's a pretty damn fine post you've got there IMO.

This would be a huge loss for them after replacing two top ten draft picks off the line.

And yes please just add “out with calf injury” in the OP or something along those lines.

Hey, thanks for reminding me of 2 highly ranked OL targets that M not only lost to ND but also  are doing well enough to be starters.....

According to 247:

In addition to Michigan, Kraemer also had offers from Georgia, Ohio State, and Penn State.

Kraemer only visited Notre Dame.

In addition to Michigan, Hainsey had offers from Georgia, Ohio State, Penn State, MSU, Florida, Auburn, LSU, Ole Miss, South Carolina, and Tennessee.

Hainsey only visited Notre Dame.

Maybe it's just me, but when I see two recruits getting offers from a variety of big-time programs yet their only visit is to the school where they committed, that's a big neon sign that they weren't interested in any other school besides where they committed. Which in this case was Notre Dame.

Sure, it would have been great to get them to Ann Arbor, but in these two cases it doesn't look like a Michigan-only recruiting loss.

Don! How dare you bring logic and insight into this discussion?!? Clearly Harbaugh should be able to recruit the top 100 on 24/7 as if he were going to the grocery store. Things like distance, family, childhood fandom, etc should never come between a top 25 recruit and Michigan!!

Interesting. They already had to replace a lot on their OL (two top-ten picks will do that to you).

Does anyone have a rundown of who for ND is suspended/injured? Ive heard their starting RB Dexter Williams is suspended, and I feel like I heard that someone else is out (DL maybe?), but I'm not sure who.

So if someone did this the offense would look really interesting, this is their offseason RB depth chart as far as I can tell:

RB: Josh Adams UDFA

      Dexter Williams Suspended

Tony Jones Jr., 198 yds, 3 TD

      Deon McIntosh Transferred

      Avery Davis, converted QB

      Jafar Armstrong, Redshirt Freshman

      Jahmir Smith, #611 3* Freshman

      C’Bo Flemister, Unraked 3* Freshman

Their best returning WR has 354 yds and 2 TDs, they will almost definitely be starting freshman WRs, some combination of: Kevin Austin, #82 4*, Braden Lenzy, #215 4*, Lawrence Keys, #286 4*, Micah Jones, #376 3* Freshman. Looks like they just got their version of our 2017 WR class.

Their best TE last year was a 4th rd pick, and they are expecting George Takacs, #283 4* to start.

Then finally since this is about an OL not playing this is their OL depth chart:

LT: Mike McGlinchey, 1st Rd Pick

     Liam Eichenberg

LG: Quenton Nelson, 1st Rd Pick

      Josh Lugg

C: Sam Mustipher

RG: Alex Bars

RT: Tommy Kraemer, was moving to LG but will move back to RT if Hainsey cant go

      Robert Hainsey, injured

they already lost dexter Williams for this game. If they lose Hainsey its bad news for that offense

Feel bad for the kid.  Injuries stink.  We've had our fair share...our Dline needs to control the line of scrimmage and pressure the QB whether this kid is injured or not.
