Multiple crystal balls for Isaiah Todd to Michigan

Submitted by Wolverine Devotee on October 7th, 2019 at 10:49 AM

All 3 are from guys that have 80% or higher CB accuracy. One is a national guy, a Duke writer and a Kentucky writer.

This comes just after Isaiah Todd announced his top-2.

What a huge get this would be.  If he gets the first domino to fall he could bring in a really good class.

Lol excuse me for being slightly pessimistic. If we can pull all these guys that we've currently offered, then fantastic. My only gripe was that I wish Howard was putting out some offers to some lower rated guys as a safety net since we're going up against some big dogs for the guys we've currently offered who are all top 40 guys

Several players and respected coaches have spoken highly of Juwans coaching ability.  I get he’s a head coach now but it’s not likes he’s learning a new sport.

I see a young Juwan like PF thinking he can learn from a smart high character 20 yr NBA veteran.

Not to thread jack, but I very rarely consume news with volume on, so I watched that clip silently until the other day. The fact that snoop "performed" dead-ass uncut and uncensored including every single bi***, motherf***er, ni**a, etc etc etc combined with the dancers and the money gun absolutely BLEW MY MIND considering the scrutiny Kansas is under right now.

For the record, this is not a pearl-clutching, "save the children from obscenity" complaint, this is incredulity at either the most colossal out of touch PR f-up or insane suicidal middle finger to the NCAA imaginable.

Counterpoint: he had zero Michigan crystal balls before his top 2 so how much can we really trust them in this instance? Doesnt seem these insiders really have any sources in Todd's camp

Because it's recruiting and things change on a dime? I never understand this criticism of the system. He probably was favoring Kentucky until they wouldn't let him take an official visit. I know they're called Crystal Balls, but these writers aren't future tellers. They put in predictions based on the information they currently have. When the situation changes and they get new information from their sources, then the Crystal Balls change.

Kansas Snoop Dogg stripper show may backfire here

It seems Todd goes to Christian school (Word of God Christian Academy), tweets a bunch of Christian uplifting stuff, etc. I'd assume his mom is a Christian woman as well so their stripper show may be a HUGE turnoff for his family

At some point, doesn't the fact that Kansas is staring down the barrel of major penalties including a Show-Cause against their dirty coach have to matter?  That kid who de-committed from UM and went to Kansas after Beilein left might get to play in one NCAA tournament only because Kansas will drag this thing out.  (Admittedly, I am foolishly buying into the notion that the NCAA will actually do something meaningful in this case.  A little bit of Charlie Brown and Lucy on my part, but I think the hard nature of the evidence and the overall disgust with the corruption in college sports will be enough to make the NCAA act for real here.)

I would like to believe that it's that, plus the snoop dogg show breaking the camel's back in our favor. But then, why would KU be in the top 2 anyway? I don't know. All I know is GO BLUE!

Also, I had to look him up, as I don't follow any recruiting that closely these days. Consensus 5* power forward at 6'10" and 195 lbs; number 10 overall to Rivals; number 7 to ESPN; number 12 to 247.

did not know that about the kid.  i could see that being a complete, deal-breaking (for KU) consideration.  if i had a crystal ball, i'd say the kid is going blue, period end of story.  and i'll have robf eat lemon if i'm wrong....

Rumors of him being interested in going overseas instead of college. Doesn't mean he won't play college, but whoever gets his commitment is going to deal with those rumors until he gets on campus.

Would be a monster get.

Man this would be huge if he came here.  In looking at his highlights, this guy is an absolute stud.  He has a huge upside.  Even if he was only here one year, what a ride that'll be.  Crossing fingers.

This is a player that is in Howard's wheelhouse.  He can pitch to him that he'll basically be his personal big-man coach for getting ready for the NBA.  How many other coaches can pitch that kind of deal to a 6-10 kid?

If I were projected as an NBA 4, is there any college coach better suited to develop me for the NBA than Howard?
