Ummm, well for starters it's been proven Paterno was made aware of Sandusky's behavior and did nothing to stop it or prevent it from happening again. If he's not he should be rotting in hell. While it could come to light that Izzo/Mork are proven to have assisted in covering up/hiding/not following proper procedures, etc, that has not happened to tgis point. While it looks like on some level that may be the case, it hasn't been proven yet. When and if it is proven, I'm all with ya man

You mean proof like the video of Payne admitting to the police that he and Appling raped a girl on campus? Izzo knew about it, the police knew about it, and nothing was done about it. Neither player was kicked off the team, suspended, or even forced to temporarily ride the pine. Izzo not only sent a clear message to the program that this is acceptable behavior, but put them in a position to lead the team by example as four year starters. Izzo is by definition an enabler of rapists. QED.

Do we know 100% Izzo was made aware of that tape? I dont know the answer. I'm sure I've missed a bunch in this whirlwind of news that seems to come out every hour. If he saw that tape, that alone imo would be grounds for being kicked to the curb. IMO

That case was widely reported in East Lansing. How on earth do you think Izzo didn’t see that tape. And if he didn’t, he should be fired for incompetence. Payne and Appling were being investigated and questioned by the cops. This isn’t new information to anyone. If random people on the internet knew of that tape before Izzo, then he is 100% at fault for enabling a rape culture at MSU

You keep saying that as if Izzo not knowing about the tape would be good for him. It wouldn’t. If I know more about a rape involving two MSU basketball players than Izzo, he is absolutely at fault for everything he’s accused of.

Double post to show how stupid you are Also, you asked if Izzo was aware of that tape? If 2 players on a coach’s team were being questioned by the cops for rape, can you imagine how shitty that coach would be if he didn’t find out everything he could about that incident? You have horrible points and you are a troll and you should feel stupid

As 707 pointed to, Izzo knew by Payne’s own words that he and Appling raped a woman and he kept both on the team with no punishment. I’m still waiting to hear why JoePa is rotting in hell but Izzo shouldn’t be. Both were aware people were raped and did nothing about it. JoePa has no criminal charges against him, so why is he hellbound and we still have to wait on Izzo?

Did you even read the OTL report or watch the show?

- Walton was arrested for assaulting a woman while coaching for Izzo.  This isn't a just an accusation, he was arrested and arraigned.  Later he pleaded down to a littering charge.  There was no penalty administered by the basketball or athletic staff for this offense and there was no way MSU was not aware of the situation.

- Appling and Payne were factually under investigation for rape while starting for months at MSU.  Both criminal and Title IX investigation.  This is not an allegation.  This is fact.

- It is fact that the prosecuting office for that and all the other MSU investigations destroyed reports on these matters.

- It is an MSU report and not Allswede herself that states that Walton and two other players were accused of sexually assaulting another woman.

- It is an MSU internal communication between Alsswede and MSU administrators that states the players never received any punishment, but that Walton was fired.  Izzo denies firing Walton instead saying he left to go play overseas.

- Dantonio stated in his July presser that these were the first two sexual assaults since he's been coach.  But internal MSU reports show multiple other sexual assault accusations and how they were handled.

- OTL used multiple other sources including the testimony of the women assualted or raped by athletes.  Maybe you missed that part.

I'm not sure what you proof you need to recognize something is seriously wrong here, but this is not just one woman's testimony where she has yet to provide any proof.  This is internal university and public records that are finally being exposed.

an AD in a position that Hollis was in to all off a sudden pack it in and "retire" for no reason other than it was "the right time" and Izzo handling questions with the look of a guilty man tells a normal person all they need to know about what's happened as being true. Did you watch that Walton interview? Don't worry though there is more coming.

Wait a minute. There must be proof to talk about it. This is not court of law you know. You Don't have an iota of decency to doubt Izzo or Dantonio a little bit and give benefit of doubt to the alleged victims. Jerk. Those victims are powerless. They Don't have high prices lawyers and millions of dollars and jerkwards like you supporting them. Izzo and Dantonio Don't need any support.

Sorry bud. Life-long blue fan. Grew up in a blue household. Had family, albeit a very long time ago, play for the Wolverines. I just happen to have an open mind about this brutal situation. Most likely these guys dont make it. I for one, would just like to see it be proven before we all label them as lowlife pieces of scum.I probaby could have articulated my initial post and responses in a better light. At the end of the day those who did wrong will be exposed and they will finally feel a little piece of the pain they have caused others. Let's just be 100% sure on who is responsible.

And yes. That's true. For the most part I have enjoyed Valenti and Foster over the years. Is Mike over the top about UM from time to time? Yes, but I'm able to take that for what it is and simply appreciate the entertainment. Foster I found hilarious as he wouldnt even realize he was being funny most of the time.

Only a spectaculary disingenuous clown can read articles like this and conclude it's screechingly unfair to suspect that both Izzo and Dantonio have been directly involved in helping to bury multiple cases of sexual assault committed by the student athletes on their teams.

Not with the scumbag reference, but overall. Some people are clearly taking a leap and assuming the worst. And a lot of it IS rivalry related ((IMO). That said, Izzo made things so much worse with his presser answers. If I’m in his shoes the only correct answer would be “we have a documented process for handling ALL allegations of this nature which we follow to the letter. This includes campus police, prosecutor, etc and I personally NEVER make any determination on guilt or innocence. While I reserve the right to act unilaterally, we do rely on these investigative bodies to a significant extent. They are the professionals in that arena.” Or something like that. IMO it would be a reasonable position to take if communicate properly. And their biggest issue has been communication - they keep making it worse! BTW The Izzo presser regarding Walton seemed very telling. His inability/unwillingl to answer was beyond awkward.

After seeing Payne’s interview on OTL, to me there is no reason at least Appling shouldn’t have been charged. If Izzo didn’t see that video, he wasn’t doing what he should’ve to run the program. If he did, he shouldn’t have let him play. To me, that video is enough proof that Izzo should be fired.

I don’t think anything that’s come out against Dantonio is a fireable offense yet... And I’m definitely not hoping that other events happened and were covered up.

My comment was that a new AD or President won’t necessarily be given the power to make that decision because of how big both of them are to the school. And I don’t think any decent current university president or AD is going to want anywhere near either of those jobs until the investigation is complete and Izzo’s and Dantonio’s fait has been decided. If someone were to come in and clean house, they are instantly going to have all of the alumni and fans hate him/her. Why would someone want to be put in that position?

those decisions. They will never be left up to the University, its interim President/AD or future President/AD. They will be made based upon irrefutable evidence, and those judgements will stand without appeal. The whole world is watching and waiting for justice to prevail. It will no longer be delayed. #timesup

are fickle things.  Sometimes they will acquit somebody they think is guilty because of circumstances (they like the guy, it wasn't so bad, they don't like the victim, they don't like the prosecutor, etc).

They can also do the reverse.

Today if Izzo or Dantonio (who has the least evidence against him) were brought to trial on say obstruction of justice (nice, easy, vague charge) and then various evidence about the culture of the program was shown to the jury, they would probably get a hung jury but NO way they would be acquitted.  And that's as of today.

Again, it doesn't matter if they are actually guilty (legally speaking).  The jury wouldn't acquit them.  Period.
