Weird to not see an uplifting story out of MSU. I thought this was going to be about career placement for alumni of the state's third best school -- more guys in trucks, landfills, recycling centers -- how they're serving society.

Third best? I’d put Michigan (obviously) Kettering, hillsdale, Kalamazoo college and possibly hope ahead of them.
For engineering they are no better than fourth behind M, Kettering and tech.
Proud to say that I have put four kids through school with none of them even having applied to sparty.

I get it. But tell me something I don't already know. From the staged 'walk' last year to the various antics of the players and coaches, it's evident the lack of maturity and class from the Spartans. I don't like it, and it is offensive... but I am getting tired of trying to build up outrage about behavior I have come to expect. The real question is do we do anything about it and if so what? I tend to just ignore them and not allow them any real estate inside my head.

I was in the stands that night and came as close as I EVER have to fist fighting in two different parking lots.
I'm glad I kept the game in perspective. Part of being the bigger brother is holding your water, regardless of the outcome. We leave the couches and street lamps alone and go home to our own meaningful mission, whatever that might be.
Sparty's looking for a good time. We focus on the mission, win or lose.

Came here to say this. Throwing out an accusation without attribution is just sour grapes to sell a book. Name the coach, make him accountable. Classless behavior needs to be called out. As it says, if a Michigan coach had done that, MSU would have publicized that to high heaven and ESPN would still be replaying it...
