Hold me Sopwith and tell me everything will be alright!

Prediction: Folks who have been really unhappy with me in my mentions the last couple of days are going to be really, really unhappy with me by dinner time.

Honestly I don’t even give a fuck anymore. We win the natty this year and they can shut the program down for a year for all I care.

This is the happiest any buckeye fan has been about college football since that day in November 2021. I like to think I wouldn’t be feeling this way if the positions were reversed, but I can’t promise it.

So now there's a new thread anytime that anyone posts something about this.  JFC you guys... calm the fuck down.

Furthermore, this is some bucknut fucktard.  Stop giving them publicity/clicks.

This guy has never been a clickbait media member. More stuff is bound to leak, and I would recommend to expect the worst. No amount of head in the sand will prevent this from likely being an NCAA violation.

The severity of this will be the amount of knowledge other members of the program had. If people up the chain of command (coaches, coordinators, HC) knew of Connors techniques and that is leaked then this could get very bad. If it isn’t going up the chain, and the leak is of the videos of Connor filming, then that is another angle.

No, im allowed to comment what I think the circumstances are. If I’m wrong, so be it, and I’ll be relieved. However, the leaks that have come out make me feel bleak.

I stand by what I said, while I love the on field results, I’ve found the off the field actions by this program over the past two years to be concerning. Am I callous sometimes? You better believe it. However, I was downvoted to oblivion for making a tame comment at the beginning of this saying I haven’t liked the off the field management by Harbaugh over the past 2 years.

Call me a prick, asshole, whatever. You all don’t like me because I am touching on a distinct possibility, which is that Michigan acted in unethical matters that were NCAA violations. I’m not going to provide a list of the issues I’ve had with this program over the past two years, but I’ve been incredibly disappointed.

I can still root for Michigan, while raising my eye brow of what has come out so far. I don’t treat my sports teams like politics, where I seek affirmation to my priors.

Believe it or not, nothing would make me happier that after all this, Michigan gets a slap on the wrist and it was truly just Connor going rogue. I will gladly take being considered a clown here for jumping the gun, and then have Michigan win a natty. From what has come out, I’m doubtful of that.

What has come out to run contrary to the "Connor going rogue" theory? Based on what we know, isn't that the only conclusion to draw at this point? I'm confused on all the doom and gloom when all we know is that the dude bought tickets and had other people attend games to film signals. Additionally, it's still in question about whether that technically violates any rules. Spirit? Yes. Letter? Less likely.

You just continue to think you are unique and posting a “different angle” when you aren’t.  Don’t you think most people here have come to the conclusion that we could very well be completely boned here?  We don’t need to see the exam same shit in every thread.  This sucks.  WE GET IT.

"You all don’t like me because I am touching on a distinct possibility, which is that Michigan acted in unethical matters that were NCAA violations."

No. We don't like you because you're constantly bitching, pissing and moaning about whatever it is you're talking about. No one likes someone who, for some reason, loves to make other people's lives worse.

You already provided a list of issues you had with UM under Harbaugh the past 2 years - the burger situation, Mazi Smith not being suspended, Matt Weiss being fired, and this - and anyone (including myself) who took issue with your characterization you dismissed as being a bias homer.

Yes, Michigan isn't a paragon of virtue but they never were.  You keep acting like the vast majority of these violations and missteps are unique to Michigan, when they aren't.

There is also Donovan Edwards fiasco and Shemy. Issues of bigotry that frankly, were shoved under the rug and not handled well in my opinion.

Michigan isn’t the paragon of virtue and I don’t need them to be. However, if that’s the case the program and it’s fans need to stop acting like they are, and using it as an “excuse” for why we were struggling over the past 15 years. We weren’t losing because Justin Fields was taking online classes, OSU players sold gold pants, or due to “bagmen” while Michigan was this program with so much integrity. Michigan was struggling because they weren’t good enough. It was Michigans fault.

And this is where my true frustration lies. We handwave integrity now as “we never were that” while many in the program used that as a shield from criticism and a reason we were underachieving. There was Harbaugh on Twitter early on, suggesting other programs were cheating. There was the boasting of us doing the right thing, while Dr. Anderson abused many athletes, while our own PBP and head coach defended the coach who likely enabled him.

We aren’t better than others, and our arrogance may have caught up with us. Hopefully, it was nothing major, but I hope all of us who interact in the program look themselves in the mirror.

Okay, so now we're at a guy who liked a comment by Kyrie Irving, one of the biggest names in basketball, and then apologized for it.  I can probably go through the retweets and likes of some controversial posts and find a college football player or two if that makes you feel better.

Michigan wasn't that good but at least part of that was they weren't doing some of the things other programs were doing - they were trying to be "better" by some arbitrary moral standard.  I know this because when they became legal, or people stopped giving a shit about them, UM was still flat-footed behind them.  That's all I heard for years, that UM lacked NIL apparatus and didn't know how to just hand bags of money to players.  That's a bit hyperbolic but it's also not a shock.  And when Harbaugh did try something new, like those satelite camps, he got blocked by the NCAA because fucking Georgia complained about it.

As for Anderson, I agree Michigan shouldn't try to hold themselves as morally superior around how they handle sexual assaults, but also seemingly every major program in this conference had an awful event like that semi-recently.  But that's not related to football product on the field, unless you thinkt he fear of being assaulted makes guys play better in cover 2.

Being "better" than others has been a problem for UM but can we stop acting like other schools aren't like that.  As an OSU, MSU, ND, PSU, etc. fan if they thought their programs were dirty and breaking rules and they'd all say they weren't, that they won the "right" way instead of everyone else.  There are 133 echo chambers in this sport.  Fucking Nick Saban got into a public pearl clutching match with Jimbo Fisher over who paid what for which players.  The idea that Michigan was exceedingly more arrogant than anyone else is mostly a by-product of UM having a lot of fans.

Not really.  The first gate in all of this is whether or not the rule will be interpreted by the letter or by the spirit of the rule.  If the rule is interpreted by the letter, and no "in-person" scouting occurred by any member of the coaching staff, then the rest is irrelevant.  It won't matter who paid for the ticket, how many games were recorded, or who knew about it.

Come on, he retweeted that Schiano video that went around online and acted like it was a smoking gun.  He also pushed that series of images of Stalions on the sideline during a game as being a sign of in-game signal stealing (which is legal) and then backed off it.

He may have useful information to come out but I also think it's telling that the Buckeye guys are the ones getting all these leaks early and often, and perhaps taking what they say with a grain of salt.

“If it isn’t going up the chain, and the leak is of the videos of Connor filming, then that is another angle.”

Of all the bombastic and biased articles I’ve seen about this episode (with zero actual confirmation so far), I haven’t seen one of them claim that Connor did the actual filming. So even your attempted walkback is wrong. Stick to the Finer Things Club.

Well, yesterday's news story was that multiple Big Ten schools had confirmed that Stalions had bought tickets from them, and that there would soon be footage coming out soon of people recording the sidelines from the seats he bought. I'm assuming this means there are going to be videos of people recording from those seats released this evening.
