These threads should qualify, and they should be deleted.  I think it is EXTREMELY BAD FORM to criticize individual player's motivation or commitment without explicit evidence to support your assertion.

Criticizing the highly-paid coaches is one thing, but these student athletes are amateurs.  They have chosen to attend and represent the university we support.  And this is a fan site, FFS.

Who is Connor Grady? (Sent critical email to Ronnie Bell after PSU game)

Thread was getting out of hand. On one hand I wanted to leave it alone because the way prevailing culture lets people know they're way out of line is to have this kind of reaction. On the other, there are too many readers on our board and Connor Grady isn't one of them, so how much is thread changing behavior versus how much is it ruining the life of somebody, and should we have that kind of power?

Good thread topic so I copyedited the awful errors and childish name-calling in the original post. No points lost but I'd ask the guy who put some effort into pulling stats to also put some effort into communicating them so everyone who reads it doesn't have to do so much work.

Also I wouldn't use BSU for Boise State because even after being good as a mid-major, they've still never been a major, and not everyone is going to recognize "BSU" for them. In fact our large Illinois and Indiana readerships were probably like "Ball State?" "Boise" shouldn't take more time to type than shift-B, shift-S, shift-U.

I thought about it, especially because he's wrong on some accounts, but he's also posting some insider information that, let's say, isn't brand new. MSC had an understanding with her athletic coaches that if they wanted to recruit somebody they thought had gotten screwed by the system but could hack it at Michigan (e.g. Denard Robinson) after the bridge program, they could do so, however if they took a bad bet the next time it's a no. Schlissel has taken a more hard line approach. It's not just football and basketball.

Maybe look at these comments. He calls many commenters trolls. Tells people to f#@* off. I don't see any comments that are conversation about the topic, though I didn't read his entire history. I only went maybe 25 back. It looks like most of them that he is calling trolls are probably just saying things he doesn't want to see. Maybe he needs to back off some. But that's up to you fellas.
