I would accept that deal. Magga, you either stole that line from SportingNews or they stole it from you.

Miles brings in Pelini, and convinces RichRod to come back to Michigan as OC to redeem himself. They become known as "The Big 3" of college football.
BK'Finest it.

This would be perfect. To fill out the staff, they could retain Hoke as DL coach, Mattison as LB coach, Woodson would retire from the NFL to be DBs coach, Tyrone Wheatley and Mike Hart would be co-RB coaches, and Borges and Heiko could even be brought on to be co-equipment managers.

Borges and Heiko would be the greatest equipment managing duo this town has ever seen. They would be known as "The Big Two" in equipment managing circles worldwide. They would take the equipment by storm, managing it in ways previously thought impossible until they finally returned this school to its former glory. Years down the road our grandkids would be telling their grandkids about "The Big Two" and what they meant to this program, to this university, and to the great state of Michigan.

Heiko for AD!

Pelini's former stops as a DC were:
- Nebraska in 2003
- Oklahoma in 2004 (co-DC here, I think)
- LSU from 2005 to 2007

Sounds like a splendid motto.

Miles will never come here. Michigan stadium has no grass.

I'll chip in for a dime bag every week. Hell I'll go a lid if that'll do it.

We can give him a Chia "Bo" to nibble on. Just need to replace the Zombie with a Bo likeness.
December 2nd, 2014 at 6:23 PM ^
That's how he rolls.
December 2nd, 2014 at 6:35 PM ^
No, not likely. Pelini will end up as an analyst or HC. If Michigan was going to hire Miles they would have done it years ago...too much bad blood.
Anybody think this might be about Les? Farfetched, I now, but it crossed my mind.

I don't doubt that he would come. I do doubt however that powers-that-be in Ann Arbor (Lloyd Carr and the rest of his dismal clique) will do anything and everything possible to keep that from happening. ..

Pelini's defenses at Nebraska were horrible. I really don't want him coaching our defense.
December 2nd, 2014 at 7:36 PM ^
That his Nebraska's defenses were so bad is a bit of a mystery based off of his track record.

And also claimed he has heard that John would be very interested.

I liked that as well. There could be no better option out there, all things considered.

Pelini's won 70% of his games as a head coach. No reason why he can't land another HC job.
