Michigan running back Blake Corum denies being in business with Connor Stalions

Submitted by SpeakOut on November 7th, 2023 at 8:55 PM

Corum had no knowledge at all of this company or that his name was involved with anything involving Stalions. His attorneys are on it.

Washtenaw County Property search indicates the address on Villa France Ave. is a residence owned by Stalions.

(Image redacted - just to be on the safe side, we probably do not need his precise address on the blog for all to see, although those who know where to look could easily find it. - LSA)

edit: excellent points. My apologies -msw17

The address is on the public Wyoming legal entity registry, so I don't think its that big of deal to post here.  Its not really a serious fraud thing if Stalions listed BC as a manger of his LLC improperly (technically could be violative of the WY business entity statute) unless he was doing to same for bank apps or marketing some sort of business scheme to third parties, but BC definitely has a reputational damage argument against Stalions for doing i with the way everything has played out.

It’s pretty reasonable.

Service academy students get a $35k career starter loan @ 1% apr during their junior year (2015 for Stalions).

they also get a housing allowance ($2k-$3k) during active duty (2017-2022 for stallions) which is effective tax-free income.
So about $150k, give or take $50k, he could’ve banked on top of his 35k.

Then there’s the VA loan and low interest rate

He used a VA loan and, as many do, likely put zero down and financed some/all closing costs because the mortgage amount was about $17K higher than the purchase price.

Based on when he bought, interest rates were at the tail end of their beautiful 3% run. So $500K at 3% for 30 years is roughly $2100/month. Add ~$600/mo for taxes and $100 for insurance and you get a payment of ~$2800.

That's $33.6K/year, so pretty tight on a $55K salary unless the vacuum franchise was killing it, he had help from the parents, or he had a cash stash and was drawing down savings. Or some other soon-to-be-reported incredible factoid like he was a successful chinchilla farmer, crypto savant or male escort.

Now this gets interesting. Stalions has been a good soldier so far and is selling the he went "rogue" angle, but if Corum gets lawyers involved we will find out who is really telling the truth about whether Corum was actually in this business with him.

I may be alone on this but it feels like we're digging too deep here. This guy is going to get harrassed with all the ugly stuff that's coming out. I know it's in the Detroit News but the piling on feels wrong. He's a young guy.

It's definitely a story worth posting, but I don't like the idea of mercilessly dragging Stalions. His name has been in the press non-stop for two weeks. He's been the butt of so many jokes (see link). We laugh but holy shit, this guy went from a code-cracking genius to a moron who couldn't cover his tracks to a disgraced ex-employee and now possibly a criminal. And it's all happened out in the open. He's still a human being who used to work for Michigan football.

If he committed fraud against a current player, it’s probably notable for the board and good for Blake that it was caught. It is kind of gross that someone leaked this though, because I presume whoever did it was trying harm the reputation of Corum and make him a villain. Had this truly been a joint business to rent properties, it’s not at all relevant to the sign stuff.

So to recap:

• Stalions pens a strange 600-page manifesto detailing how he's going to take over Michigan football.

• He stretches the facts in his description of what he does for Michigan football on his resume

• He concocts a witless scouting scheme using easily traceable payments to amateurs that lands Michigan in hot water and threatens to jeopardize the 2023 season.

• He appears on the CMU sideline in full CMU garb

• He starts a weird vacuum-based business that results in vacuums piling up on his porch and then blames some MSU fan.

• He apparently lies on business forms about who his partners are in some Wyoming-based LLC.

IMHO, he's off the rails and needs serious counseling. Anybody who gets involved with him is asking for trouble.

And I say, if he is seeking counseling or has sought it, this poor soul, may be the one with an excellent lawsuit for defamation.
Delusions of grandeur are not crimes, nor in the bylaws of the NCAA, or the Big Ten, and yet…

Does working for Michigan preclude somebody from a side hustle say working to do what they do as their own job in addition for another team in another league that they don’t play?
So this delusional ““ idiot” is the one under investigation launched by a rival team that has led to the documented exposure of the same rival team in collusion with multiple other Big Ten teams to spy and steal the signals of Michigan football for competitive advantage?
