Did anyone notice the date of incorporation of Alterum Group, LLC?

Black filed the papers in New Hampshire on September 16, 2020.

Chris Day filed his 4th and One papers in New Hampshire on September 14, 2020.

Odd coincidence, that.

Here's an old background article on Black and his partner from the local paper when they retired from the police force. It's not terribly informative or relevant unless you're like me and want to get a sense of the personalities involved.

I know this dude is a regent but he was also tweeting out crazy stuff the week prior to Michigan caving to the B1G. I think the guy is just a huge Michigan homer like the rest of us, who just so happens to be a regent.

All that said...Fuck Ohio State.

I don't know anything about regents, how they become regents, how they are supposed to act, etc. but I would guess that making baseless claims about another conference affiliate would be frowned upon.  There has to be some evidence to back up what he's saying or else he wouldn't go that route.  At least I think so.

Finally.  I was hoping that this was real and they were just waiting for a strategic time to leak this.

Also great to see because it seems like since last Friday's events the support for Harbs and the fighting back against the Big Ten went quiet.

This tweet made my night

This many weeks into the PR battle, either release something BIG with actual evidence or don't waste our time. Just rumors wont do anything with how behind on the narrative we are atm. If we actually have legit evidence against OSU and other B1G, full send.

We could release detailed evidence of every single Ohio State player since the John Cooper years receiving impermissable benefits, taking fake classes and everything else you could think of and the NCAA and the Big Ten would ignore it.

The NCAA declined to investigate Osu back then for those violations.  IE they had a paper trail on Santonio Holmes getting paid by agents as well as other osu players.  They had Clarrett dead to rights, they had Osu locked and all they had to do was pull the trigger and they were toast.  The ncaa declined to investigate.  But the bigger reason for that was because that is also exactly what the sec was doing.

If you are going to break the rules, make sure you have evidence of an sec program doing it and the ncaa even if they come are only coming with a slap on the wrist at best.  IE, DJ FLuker told the world how alabama was paying players via agents and it was Nick Saban directing it all.  NCAA, nothing to see here.  FLuker also spilled on five other sec programs and named players too.  NCAA, nothing to see here.  Auburn and Cam Newton, nothing to see here.   Urban Meyer at Florida, got the agents to turn on Bobby Bowden and next thing you know one of the most dominant programs in cf for two decades suddenly couldn't land a top recruit in florida..   NCAA, nothing to see here, coaches shouldn't be punished for providing food to recruits..  but we all knew it was more than that.  But Michigan, Harbaugh and Cheeseburgers...

None of it matters right now, and I get where everyone is coming from, but it is notable. Multiple regents posting things like this is quite notable. Yes, Acker is a homer and loves UM but I do believe it's quite notable he is making posts like this.

it's notable in that, without accompanying evidence, it looks like a Regent whining on social media.

Michigan was caught off-guard in the face of a full-frontal PR assault.  the only way to counter that now is to beat OSU on the field.  If, after that happens, there is actual evidence of rules violations by others, go ahead and release it, and if that's what they're primed to do, no drip-drip nonsense - they should spill the whole pot and let the media sort it out.

If UM loses and it later comes out that OSU hired this firm as well as pushed other programs to encourage Pettiti to suspended Harbaugh for the game that is a real bad look for the conference. That is putting the finger on the scale of competition.

This story isn’t over. Narratives can be changed. Michigan has CS as a friend which is critically important. He can tell them everything what went on, who he was in contact with, and who had access to his computer. CS still plays an important role in this story going forward.

I appreciate your positive thinking.  But this is the narrative M is now combating:

"What are you talking about with OSU having M's signs. Where is the evidence that OSU has/had M signals? Where is the investigation?

M is currently under multiple NCAA investigations along with an FBI investigation. The conference stepped in (IN SEASON) because their actions have impacted the integrity of the game. These are facts.

You don't need to sign off every post saying with stuff like "And we don’t even know yet whether or not the NCAA will determine if that violates any rules, but we know what they said about the rule it might violate."

They cheated; everyone knows it. Your delusional if you think the NCAA won't determine they did something wrong.

Michigan fans are still in the "everyone does this" stage which is literal insanity.

Stalions was on the Central Michigan sideline in a Halloween costume and spy sunglasses, and these guys act like everyone does that.

Sending 65 people to film opponent games, and they act like everyone else does it.

They are desperate because they know they are going to go back to being irrelevant, and the only reason they became relevant for the past couple of years, is because they cheated."

(^^an actual post from a football fan on a non-football board)

I'm not sure there's any coming back from that.

This dude is still tweeting out homer takes as of this morning. Lol.

Love his passion but he's just a fan boy who happens to be a regent who happens to love posting on Twitter.

I hope all of our Regents are fans!

keep in mind that board members are prohibited from speaking publicly or may choose not to speak publicly about ongoing investigations, potential litigation, and of course anything discussed in closed session or that is under atty-client privilege when the privilege belongs to the board. So a board member may be trying to hint at something because he or she can’t say anything more.

IANAL but was a publicly-elected member of a board.

Can someone break it down for me please. If OSU hired an investigator, and this turns out to be true, what exactly does this entail? Is this an offense? Is this punishable? Is it as bad as hamburgers? Someone enlighten me please.

My view is the optics will look very bad for Day - such a wuss he hired a PI to take out Harbaugh rather than man up.

Also the script for sleezy activity gets applied to OSU as well.

It’s not a defense, but it broadens the narrative and casts Pettiti’s rush to judgement into a different light.

The question in my mind is: roll it out now and risk consolidating the Buckeyes, or wait until Monday and drive a stake into Days coffin if he loses or disrupt their championship run if they win?

The thing is: if you roll it out now, does the Michigan fan base walk in more angry and more unified Saturday? And does that cause confusion to OSUs preparations?
