Linking to the UF release because that's the first I've seen of it.

The year is 3144. Humanity has colonized and terraformed the Solar System and made initial attempts at FTL travel to new systems. And Michigan football will still end a season that started with promise and ended in disappointment by playing Florida at the Buffolo Wild Synthwings Bowl in Orlando.

Just wait until we get UNC in the BIG10 ACC Challenge that year too.  Hopefully it means we face Oklahoma in this event.

You might wonder why wasn’t Oregon one of the teams in this, it’s cause they aren’t a Jordan brand school just Nike branded.  UCLA will be the first PAC12 school to be Jordan branded starting this year.

Men's and women's teams in the same tournament. I can't tell if I think it's a goofy gimmick or a great idea but whatever it is, I like it.

Love this, bc elite programs play in elite events.  Also, should be interesting w/Oklahoma & UNC still breaking in new coaches.  I still don't understand why Porter went to Oklahoma of all places.

I can't hit the link at work, is there any location mentioned for this tourney?  Not that it really matters, but someplace other than a hotel ballroom would be nice...

I'm planning on going, Charlotte is 4 hours from DC.  The event is a joint venture with Jumpman and the organization that owns the Hornets & their arena Hornets Sports & Entertainment, so I imagine it will be in an actual basketball stadium.

Maybe we can get a group from the DC area to drive down?

Easily overlooked, but looks like they're planning for at least 3 years so each of the 4 teams can play the others:

Florida will face each of the three other teams over the course of the three-year event.
