Jumpman Invitational, not Jordan Brand Invitational. lol mods please edit
Ehhhhh Close enough
That's awesome, but holy shit we seriously cannot get away from UNC and Florida
The year is 3144. Humanity has colonized and terraformed the Solar System and made initial attempts at FTL travel to new systems. And Michigan football will still end a season that started with promise and ended in disappointment by playing Florida at the Buffolo Wild Synthwings Bowl in Orlando.
Just wait until we get UNC in the BIG10 ACC Challenge that year too. Hopefully it means we face Oklahoma in this event.
You might wonder why wasn’t Oregon one of the teams in this, it’s cause they aren’t a Jordan brand school just Nike branded. UCLA will be the first PAC12 school to be Jordan branded starting this year.
Men's and women's teams in the same tournament. I can't tell if I think it's a goofy gimmick or a great idea but whatever it is, I like it.
We're gonna see just how good the women are!
This is really cool. And reason #1,928,735 that it was good to move from Adidas to Nike. Surely will be a prominent recruiting event as well.
Nike is good and all but I think we should have gone with Skechers. Missed an opportunity.
MTA Pro exclusive
I say we bring back the British Knights. Either that or And1. Is that still a thing?
Love this, bc elite programs play in elite events. Also, should be interesting w/Oklahoma & UNC still breaking in new coaches. I still don't understand why Porter went to Oklahoma of all places.
OK: $2.8M x 6 years
CH-L offer: $2.2M x 10 years
52 years old. Wants to jump to NBA eventually? Doesn’t want to work past 60? New environment? Huge fan of steak? Who knows.
Yea thats a lot of money, but it's not even top 40:

Maybe it's just me, but I don't think of Oklahoma as a really coveted basketball job. It probably is the steak...
That's a great lineup!
Really enjoy these little tournaments, especially when the lineup is this good
College basketball is fun and exciting!
I can't hit the link at work, is there any location mentioned for this tourney? Not that it really matters, but someplace other than a hotel ballroom would be nice...
I'm planning on going, Charlotte is 4 hours from DC. The event is a joint venture with Jumpman and the organization that owns the Hornets & their arena Hornets Sports & Entertainment, so I imagine it will be in an actual basketball stadium.
Maybe we can get a group from the DC area to drive down?
I'd be interested in that drive! Who knows? Camping in North Carolina, in December, can't be all bad, right? Especially when your tent is situated in the middle of a room at the Holiday Inn Express...
I’m in Richmond Va and Charlotte is 4.5 hours southwest of me. DC is 2 hours northeast of me.
How are you going DC to Charlotte in 4 hours? Like what interstate are you taking if not 95S? 66 to??
You're right..i lived in Richmond for so long I still think Charlotte is 4, Atlanta is 8 & Detroit is 10.
From DC Charlotte is 6, Atlanta is 10, Detroit is 8.
But you can take 66 to 81 to 77 and I think the time is about the same.
Kill 'Em All!
Michigan will Seek & Destroy
Charlotte resident, look forward to cheering on the maize and blue in CLT. Great lineup
Easily overlooked, but looks like they're planning for at least 3 years so each of the 4 teams can play the others:
Florida will face each of the three other teams over the course of the three-year event.
