There's at least one OKC blogger that wants Donovan gone:

This would be a nice landing spot for Billy Donovan who is on the hot seat if you ask most fans of the OKC Thunder. Donovan is also entering the last year of his contract with the OKC Thunder, so this opening is huge for him.

Billy Donovan could take this Michigan job and be in a position he feels more comfortable and has more control and success in the college ranks.

He also could use this opening as a chance to try and gain more security in Oklahoma City.

How bad does Presti want Donovan to stay with the OKC Thunder? Could Donovan use this opening as a chance to earn a contract extension?

We continue to wait for the shoe to drop from Presti. Notably, the pair had not held their end of season review when Presti made his comments. Fingers crossed it leads to an exit and new coach hunt.

$5/million a year should do it.

1) It puts him ahead of Izzo at #3 (https://sports.usatoday.com/ncaa/salaries/mens-basketball/coach/) but below K and Cal (which is fair, they've won titles)

2) It's a $1/mil year / 25% bump from what he's presently making ($4 mil/year) - https://playerswiki.com/billy-donovan

3) Everyone is happy - Michigan gets their guy, OKC gets to find a new coach.

$5 mil / year should be in the ballpark for what this athletic department can swing.

Imagine a group of fans that legitimately think they are are a gift to college sports. That they should be included in the NCAA tournament because of who they are and that being excluded from the tournament means they should split from the SEC and NCAA.  These people wanted to fire Cal one year removed from a title.

while Michigan fans are judged based on the vocal minority, this is a description of most UK fans I’ve met...and I live in Kentucky.  Very cultlike.

i dont view him as a shitty in game coach.. the guy has players one and done, and thats not easy.

nobody recruits better.

i just wonder about this rumor.. if its real.. because calipari to michigan would require him knowing he can get a bagman system, and coming after beilein would mean no chance of a pre-existing bag system.
