I'll start by telling you I Love Tom Brady. Totally screwed by Deflate Gate. It was cold. Pressure of balls matched projections. He was fucked by the NFL , so I root for him. Just saying that to show I'm not crazy.
As to Smith, the mother of the alleged victim is on Smith's side. Said her daughter has serious mental health issues. She said that Zach did not hurt her daughter, and said her daughter lied about it.
Now Urban is an asshole. Can't deny that. (And while Tressel lied to the NCAA and deserved to be fired, everything you hear about him is that he was a great person.)
How do you think UM should respond to a coach that misled the NCAA? Are you better than OSU? Or worse?

OSU learned that Tressel lied to the NCAA in the process of an internal investigation (found emails showing he knew facts he told the NCAA he said he did not know), self reported the violation to the NCAA, and fired him.

You keep saying that OSU fired Tressel. And you keep misstating the facts. They suspended him for two games and joked about him firing the president of the university. When information came out about what he did, the Athletic Director was pressured into increasing his suspension to 5 games. When his hypocrisy and ethical lapses (going back to his days preceding his OSU stint) made it impossible to do his job, he resigned. He later became the president of YSU, showing you what the people of Ohio thought of his ethical missteps. I will wait until more facts are known before judging Harbaugh.

Now that I know (or at least it appears to be) it’s about 2 burgers and not a comprehensive pay for play situation, I don’t think the Tressel and Harbaugh situations are at all comparable. I would still suspend Jim for the first game, because don’t “mislead” the NCAA, but I would give him a performance bonus equal to one game check. The message sent would be, please comply, but fuck you, NCAA.

The fact this is considered "cheating" is possibly why a lot of Michigan fans don't think they are "cheating".
Michigan absolutely bends some rules but so do everyone else. But I'm comfortable saying Harbaugh hasn't pulled a Will Wade or Jeremy Pruitt situation.
