Michigan currently a 2 point favorite over Alabama

Michigan currently is a 2 point favorite over Alabama over on Bovada.  It was 2.5 about 5 minutes ago so unsurprisingly Bama money has come in.  Over/under 46.

To be the man, you’ve got to beat the man. Michigan and this team have another narrative to change - the one that says SEC owns the B1G, and particularly Michigan. This is a chance to silence another dominant narrative - and make clowns like finebaum turn into osu fanboys.  Make them sad and confused.  Michigan vs everybody has to include the SEC to really do this thing justice. Awesome opportunity. Embrace and enjoy!

You are correct about the Bulldogs because they did have a drop off this year vs 2022. They had softer wins, ie lower margin of victory in several games.

BTW, the same with 'Bama. Not that I won't diminish what kind of game the Crimson Tide will bring to Pasadena on New Year's Day. Michigan will need to play their best game of the season on both sides of the ball in order to beat 'Bama.

This is the correct perspective.  There are 5 to 8 teams that are excellent this year.  There are no gimmees to the National Championship.  We need to beat two excellent teams to achieve our goals.  Time to buy the Rose Bowl tickets -- reserved the flight at half time last night.

We got "lucky" last year and drew TCU. It was a very winnable game, but it felt like we underestimated them until it was too late. This year I again think this is a very winnable game, but this time we at least won't hold anything back. No one in this field is the juggernaut that was Georgia the last couple years.

To be the best you have to beat the best and the SEC is perceived as the best.
Let’s beat the crap out of Bama, for the reasons none of us believe they should have been included in the first place.

That quote is so dumb lol

Almost nobody (fan or player) in any team sport gives a shit about beating the best. They want opponents that maximize their chances and presents the easiest road to a championship.

And that road doesn’t include teams with significantly more athletic and talented recruits, better coaches, and mobile QBs that are a kryptonite for Michigan.

JJ will need to be as mobile. Harbaugh cannot bubble wrap JJ throughout the playoffs. Maybe we'll hope to see a lot more Orji plays dialed up.

Michigan has a deep bag of tricks and it will be do or die on New Year's Day. Playing B1G style of football won't cut it against 'Bama. It didn't work out against TCU last year until Sharrone and Jim decided to let JJ loose but it was too late by then.
