from 4 to 6 Notre Dame and Oklahoma jumps them...Oklahoma I get, Oklahoma won Bedlam....ND is...well, ND...although if ND beats Miami this weekend, they will have deserved that jump...If they were going to jump anyone, they should have jumped Miami ahead of Wisconsin...even though I think that ND beats Miami

I think that's where we should be. Win at Maryland by a decisive margin and we should move into the Top 20 for our showdown in Madison based on other teams losing.

Side note: ridiculous that Iowa is one behind Iowa State and not the other way around given they beat them head to head in Ames.

they give the teams with the most hype high rankings and don't give a shit about head to head or any shit that actually matters in rankings. We had same record as PSU last year and shit on them head-to-head. Us and PSU both lost in close bowl games but according to the fuckfaces making the poll PSU was the better team.

Jump 5-7 spots/week each of the next 2 weeks (many top 25 teams play one another), setting up a Top10 matchup w OSU in The Game.  Roll the dice and Fucking Win The Game!  Let the chips fall where they may.

I could see us being ranked 24th or 23rd this week. If we shit on Maryland we could jump up to 18th or 19th. Then if we beat an undefeated Wiscy we could move up to around 12th. Assuming Ohio wins out and is in the top 10, a victory vs them could push us up to around 7th. IF we somehow get in the B1G championship and play wiscy again, we could move up to 5th or 6th. No way we get into playoff this year unless there are only 3 teams with 0 or 1 losses.

I hope this is last time and I think it will be in Harbaughs tenure, that we are just barely in the rankings. For what we have dealt with as far NFL picks, injuries and still recovering from shoddy recruiting this team is damn impressive. Go Blue!

QB and pass pro is still a work in progress but voters have to be cognizant of the surging running game.  The O line is run blocking much better than early in the season.  If we can continue on this path we are going to be highly competitive against Wiscy and OSU.  Beat Maryland and go balls to the wall in the last two games!

That’s about where we ought to be. A young, but improving team that is starting to figure things out and establish an identity for itself.

Get a good, comfortable win against Maryland next week probably moves Michigan to the 17-20 realm, and then the big showdown in Madison.

Michigan's last 9 opponents are 39-41 thus far this season.

Underwhelming non-conf schedule and the rest is Michigan being too young OR Big Tennnnnn! horribleness.

Michigan hasn't defeated a single opponent over .500 yet, and there are legimitate major doubts Michigan ever will.

Michigan's next three opponents are 4-5, 9-0 and 7-2 respectively.  Michigan is going to destroy Maryland. But @Wisconsin and Ohio State games are going to be brutal for this young team.

An 8-4 Michigan doesn't finished ranked in the Top 25.

Your argument is that the last two games are going to be "brutal for this young team" because we have yet to prove ourselves with a victory over a .500 team, yet Wisconsin to this point has an arguably less impressive collection of opponents whom they've beaten. Ntm, Wisconsin's improvement has been minimal since the beginning of the season, while ours has been far more drastic based on the learning curve of our young players. I'm not going to count us out in Camp Randall.

Except first, the Big Ten head-to-toe is one of the most underwhelming conferences in the nation.  No one is dominant week to week, and every single team has major flaws.  Wisconsin is no different.

Second, Wisconsin has decisively defeated everyone on their schedule this year, which is back end loaded. They've looked bad against Illinois, but they they dominated Purdue although the scoreboard didn't indicate that, and everyone else has been road-graded.

Third, Wisconsin has their first real test this weekend against Iowa in Camp Randall. Knowing Ferentz, Iowa will regress to the mean in Madison.,

Fourth, Michigan has a chance against UW. I just can't recall the last time a freshman Michigan QB going up to Madison and winning there. Probably Rick Leach in 1975.

Fifth, I'm at peace with an 8-4 finish this year. I'd suggest my fellow Michigan fans learn to deal with the same highly likely outcome.

Yes, Leach won there in 1975 as a freshmen but Wisconsin continued to be a dumpster fire of a program the 25 years following that season. As the Lloyd Carr years were coming to an end, Michigan's all time record at Camp Randall was 23-3-1. And after Leach in 75, a freshman QB didn't start there again until 2007, when Ryan Mallet had to substitute for injured Chad Henne. (We also were without Mike Hart that game). And is there a point in using the RichRod and Hoke years as a measuring stick when we couldn't really beat ANYBODY with a pulse? I'm not throwing in the towel as of yet based on the freshman QB factor alone. But I will if the pass blocking doesn't improve next week.

I asked my dad that while we were watching the game last night. How is it that the O-line was able to open those holes (making the run game look like it did during the Schembechler years) but pass blocking was nonexistent? Peters having literally NO time to set up any throws through the majority of the game was very, VERY concerning.
