Michigan 15.5 Favorite Over Maryland
Most sites have Michigan as a 15.5 favorite over Maryland
As someone who just put a large amount of cash on Michigan to cover would love to get your thoughts
Positive Factors:
- Maryland playing their 4th string QB
- Michigan coming in playing their best ball of Big 10 season (covering easily against Minnesota and missing covering agianst Rutgers by 1)
- Maryland not a particularly hostile place to play
- Incentive to give DJ some karma for OSU two years ago
Thoughts?!

Flying out Thursday. Spending Friday in D.C. Walk around campus and game on Saturday. Flying home Sunday. It's going to be a great week-end so my thoughts are:
35-3 Michigan

Seems a bit high, but they've had so many injuries.

This spread is a bit larger than I'd anticipated. S&P+, FPI and the Power Rank analytics all favor Michigan by much narrower margins: -9.9, -9.1, and -8.6, respectively.
Bortenschlager's injury status is unknown. His playing on Saturday will be a game-time decision. Regardless, the PWO Soph Brand was not much of a drop off, going 8 of 12 for 68 yds with 1 TD and 0 INT all in less than one quarter of play. He also converted 3 3D's and 1 4D.

Yes indeed.
The line as I see it now is Michigan -16.5 and it pays -110 which means you have to bet $110 to win $100. So if you bet $100 you'd win $90 and your take would be your $100 seed money plus the $90 winnings == cash out $190.

Maryland gives up:
- 36.3 ppg
- 4.5 ypa - run / 175 ypg
- 7.0 ypa - pass / 259 ypg
- 24 sacks
- 61 TFLs
With the QB issues this one could get ugly for Maryland. Rutgers rushed for 250 yards.
College Park weather looks perfect for November football ... mid-40s, calm wind, Blue skies.

They are going to have a tough time scoring more then once. Seems like the confidence on our team is shooting way up. 35-7

Went to OT vs Indiana. Got killed against PSU. And beat a shitty Rutgers and Minnesota.

We've run for over 700 yards in our last two games. I don't care which FBS teams this is against, if you do this you are playing well.

but it won't.
I think 15-17 is 50/50 territory and not worth betting at all.

I like Michigan to cover. I also put a decent amount down (for me) on -16.5. The running game is picking up momentum and we'll see more of the same against Maryland. We'll cover the spread by halftime and continue on to win by 20 to 30. At least I hope that's what happens.

I like Michigan to cover the way the defense is playing and the way the ground game is work. I do get the vibe harbaugh is going to really throw a lot this game. That could lead to some big plays and quick scores and even more of a blow out or I could see UM throwing a lot and it not going well and maybe the first half is closer than expected and it makes the score closer than you'd think.
In fact I wouldn't be surprised if first play is play action and a bomb down the field and BP throws a ton this game.
