Webb said Michigan might kick the tires on RB DeaMonte Trayanum from Arizona State. He entered the portal a couple days ago. He's a big bruiser type runner.

Do we need him? With Corum, Edwards, Dunlap and this Stokes kid coming it seems like the room is full of talent. I’d rather look at edge rushers or perhaps another linebacker instead.

I think he may actually have two years what with covid and redshirting as a freshman.
That being said, his stock will probably never be higher, he players the most physically taxing position in the game and does so in an extremely physical way so he should probably starting getting checks as soon as possible.
Hopefully he has a couple more games to get his td total to match his jersey number and can ride off into the sunset!

Wow, yes on Chip Trayanum. Watched him this year in most of their games, including two in person. He's a stud, recruited by Ohio State, and was kept from starting by Rachaad White. I'm frankly surprised he's entering the transfer portal as the job was his to lose next year.

I would take Trayanum in a heartbeat. If Haskins goes pro (as is likely) we will not have a power runner other than unproven Tavi Dunlap. Trayanum is a proven quantity with power, speed, good footwork and the ability to catch the ball. Plus he is from Ohio so probably would be happy to come back closer to home. Would have three years of eligibility. Go get him Mike!
