META: Why no comments in the front page game column?

I really wanted to LOL at Sparty with my MGoHomeboys.

Especially for things like this:

loss against Rutgers that caused Graham Couch to post a video titled "Michigan State football's epic collapse at Rutgers continues the season from hell" that is, hilariously, on the Detroit Free Press channel.

That was posted by an MSU "journalist".

I dunno, but another Honorable Mention for Epic Double Bird of the Week would be JJ getting hit hard on his last snap. I didn't care for that one bit.

I'm starting to think that JJ knows when he's about to get pulled, so on his last series, he plays a little loose trying to make something.  Seems like he's pretty cautious most of the game, and then towards the end he puts his shoulders down and takes contact or takes a dive

The answer to this question is that comments enabled / disabled is a field on main board posts, and Brian accidentally left them off.  A moderator will turn them on whenever one notices.

Not sure how helpful that was, but that's the answer. :)

I'm a little lost on the LOL regarding Couch, both from the OP and Brian.

I mean, as far as the title goes, yeah it's funny in a schadenfreude way. But it seems like a perfectly reasonable and accurate title. But why is it hilarious that it's on the Free Press channel? Free Press, like Lansing State Journal, is a Gannett owned paper. The other person on the video is the Free Press' MSU beat writer Chris Solari. This is the least funny thing ever.

Also, I don't know why we're putting "journalist" in quotes. Couch, in particular, is a columnist. Solari, like everyone in media, is attempting to be a talking head. They're doing commentary on a YouTube video. I didn't watch the video, not going to, but them calling it the season from hell and an epic collapse seems entirely appropriate.

Because the Freep is very pro MSU. So for them to admit how bad they are with no attempt at sugar coating it is satisfying to laugh at.  The Freep is also not allowed on this site because of their terrible journalism.  So he's putting it in quotes to express that he considered them so inferior that they barely really journalists.

Came here to say that Colson also had a chance to hit the IU wideout as he was passing the ball on that trick play if he had continued at full speed. But he just inexplicably (to me) slowed to nearly a stop when the guy sort of double-clutched and took a step to throw it.

I expected Tyler Morris to be awarded at least one point. Back to back receptions in the second quarter plus the punt return played a big role in taking the game from 7-7 to 21-7.
