when people act like this is a news channel and try to "break something" on the board by posting a thread with just the title and nothing else, then coming in the thread and editing it after it's up just so you can be the first one to post it.

fyi, OP votes do not count.

I've always been a fan of "work smart" as a theory. In any case, I do all the MGoStuff from a laptop that sits on a credenza, leaving my desktop computer and work laptop unecumbered by all this. That, and in all honesty, I read a statistically significant sample of posts most of the time - despite appearances, it's harder than it seems to fit the modding bit into my daily routine, especially now that I get to help run the continuous improvement "idea factory", if you will, for about 300 people from an empty cubicle littered with process maps.

"Discuss" has always been one of my pet peeves.  This is a fucking internet forum.  What the fuck else are we going to do?

But I will play along with this thread anyway.

You're adorable.

You're a fluff poster. You get that, right?  You go for the lowest of low hanging fruit.  You jump on bandwagons, you beat dead horses, and you're incessant and repetitive as all fuck for cheap/weak laughs and upvotes.

You've posted this five times in the last three weeks.  That's not a contribution.  You bring literally nothing to the table.  You're not clever, you're not funny, you're not witty, and your shtick is better left in the hands of others.

Go look at your own posting history and find the posts where you actually discussed Michigan/sports/*anything* without a "hurr durr Sparty" or "harhar OSU" or "Harbaugh amirite guys!?!?".  There aren't many.  You'll get your points because there are other fanboys on here that you can pander to, but Jesus, man, you're the Carlos Mencia of this board.

It's offensive to anybody with a modicum of intelligence, a sense of humor that is at all refined, or a memory that outspans that of a goldfish.

But, quick!  You should respond with the Cameron Diaz fucking troll! gif.  I've only see you post that 20 times.  That'll teach me.

I usually get most of my MGoSurfing done on my phone, whenever I click on the next page arrow in the MGoBoard I never get page 2 of 9, the MGoForum disappears entirely. It's done that the entire time I've been on MGoBlog, from 3 different phones I've owned since I joined.

1) Not wiping good enough, followed by an itch.
2) Chicago fans, most delusional fan base I've ever came across. No this is not the year for the Cubs, Blackhawks are like State, and Bears are in a rebuilding period so stop acting like they should win the SB.
3) Why haven't the dragons fucked up King's Landing yet?

I'm with the "take too seriously" crowd as my pet peeve. For crying out loud, it is a blog. Many of the things that used to peeve me, just don't matter so much any more. They're peeves, but not huge. For instance:

  • Accumulation of points. They are what they are. Who cares? Have enough so you can post, and the rest doesn't really matter. I just don't click on posbang threads.
  • Grammar and spelling. It can be annoying, but as long as the content is there, it doesn't matter that much. Just use paragraph breaks, and we'll be fine.
  • Adidas vs. Nike. Just don't care that much any more. It is mostly about the money, and who I prefer doesn't really matter.
  • Sexybits. Use common sense, for Pete's sake. No boobies, but if you read far enough back in time, even Brian gave a pass for Scarlett pics.
  • Friday night drinking threads. Doesn't really matter to me what someone else is drinking. Another thread I usually don't click.
  • Detroit team homers. Can be annoying, but it is to be expected. (Would be interesting if site stats show how much of the readership resides in southeastern Michigan.)

There is one subset of the "take it too seriously" crowd that does get under my skin. It is those who don't get that it is off season, Posts about Michigan that are controversial but not sports or politics are of interest to me. Some recent examples would be discussion on the American Sniper kerfuffle on campus, discussion on riots in Baltimore, discussion on the $250k income family being "middle class." These are all difficult topics, but they aren't inherently about politics, or about religion.

Three things happen that I don't like with threads like these:

  1. Some posters can't help themselves, and become hopelessly inflammatory.
  2. Some other posters immediately call for the thread to be deleted, because it isn't allowed, since it isn't sports related.
  3. Some (seemingly) power hungry mods quickly pull the trigger on an interesting discussion and remove the thread.

That is my one real pet peeve.

My pet peeve is long winded posts. I.e., like my own.

My pet peeve is inarticulate posts. I.e., like my own:  I had wanted to say most peeves don't matter much any more to me. Which I obviously didn't communicate. Fail.

Actually, I am miserable with a cold and a runny nose and a splitting headache and some Spring allergies which is a terrible time to post anything about peeves, pet or otherwise.

1)SEC Coaches and Athletic Directors who complain about Harbaugh primarily because they can't match wits with him.

2) all Dairy Queen commercials, especially the new one with all those sugar-buzzed morans getting excited about the new Blizzard menu.

When some asshole parks their shit in the passing lane and goes the exact same speed as the guy next to them, thus piling up traffic behind them.  Fuck people who do this.

And chewing noises.  I cannot stand loud chewing.

Okay, that's great that you can turn the other cheek and that you're trying to turn it around and own it, that's real pro.

But do you know ~why~ people dislike you?

WD, don't worry as he is a complete - can't think of a nice word.  We spends his time scanning my posting history and goes and then downvotes all of them until he drops below 100, assuming that I had that many posts for him to downvote.  Bitter, bitter judgemental person.

p.s.  +1 as I, among the many, appreciate what you bring to this blog.

Certain posters who think the board will die if they don't start 2-3 threads a day.  What will it be tomorrow?

Favorite tree?

Favorite Band?

In-n-out or  Five Guys?

Chicken or fish?

Most annoying poster?
