Follow the link Moleskyn posted below, and click on WD's posting history. The comment starting with "Conveniently..." will take you to the relevant part of the thread. Basically, WD, Stig, and Timaaay (who are always sniping at each other) were sniping at each other from stuff that happened years ago. Good for them! WD and Stig took it personal - WD brought a kid into it (either Stig's or Timaaay's, not sure), and Stig said he should f-off and die. Seth ended it right there, with a further promise of Bolivian BanHammer should it continue.

Yep. Timmayy loves to antagonize WD for some reason, so he was doing his thing. WD got riled up and made things personal, then Stig took it another 100 steps way too far. IMO, Stig should be banned. I personally don't understand why any of them make things so personal.

I read all that. It's not like WD said anything negative about someone else's kid. He said don't be an ass and roast your kids if he does something stupid when he's 17. Which, yes and no. Come down hard on your kids when he's 10, 12, 17 and hopefully by the time he's 22 he'll be ready to be an adult instead of an immature miscreant. Like some people I know.

Yes.
But if someone is smart, don't expose your real IP.
You can do that with a VPN configuration, connecting through a proxy or TOR, security-related tools, I've rooted my phone so I use it as a router and nobody would be none the wiser unless they wanted to block all of Sprint to be 100% sure, etc.
...or the #1 easiest way to do the end around an IP block... Starbucks.

Changing your IP is dead simple.
IP banning him doesn't necessarily ban his sock puppets if he's created them from a different IP or just uses any of the readily available tools to randomize his IP.
None of that work would be out the reach of someone with even moderate intelligence, and wouldn't be surprising for someone who clearly has some obsession issues.
