Did the world "molestation"…

Did the world "molestation" exist in the 70s or 80s? How about the 90s when Bo was AD?

The idea that a doctor sticking fingers in someone's ass and fondling their balls when they come in for a broken elbow is fucked is not brand new.

I feel like it's highly…

If it was widespread enough that coaches were joking about it/using it as a threat I feel like it's highly likely that Harbaugh was aware something was up. But yes, he wasn't really in a position to do any more about it than any other player at the time.

What concerns me more is how much Carr was aware, especially given the glowing eulogy mentioned above.

Give me a break.

If these…

.

Give me a break.

If these…

Give me a break.

If these grown ass men somehow didn't know that a doctor molesting these teenagers was traumatic, that's nearly as damning.

If their policies are…

If their policies are keeping you out of the store, they're clearly not catering to the ignorant

Other countries have opened…

Other countries have opened schools because they've seen a decreased amount of community spread, have much better testing coverage than we do, can provide much smaller class sizes than are possible in the US, and/or have year round classes that aren't coming up on a summer break anyways. No country is opening up the schools to "start getting kids back to the immune system" because that is a gibberish statement so nonsensical it's worthy of coming from our president.

I'm an Epidemiologist, but please tell me what I do and don't know some more.

He's a doc at an urgent care…

He's a doc at an urgent care clinic who was immediately refuted by the county public official he claimed was in agreement with him:

When Dr. Erickson explained why he believes the data supports his statements about reopening he also said that the Kern County Public Health Department agrees with him,"I've talked to our local head of the health department and he's waiting for that, even though they are in agreement with me, their waiting for the powers that need to lift.."

However, in a press briefing Thursday Public Health said Director Matt Constantine was not in agreement with Dr. Erickson on that issue, "Our director has not concurred with the statements that were made yesterday about the need to reopen," Kern County Public Health Department Public Information Officer Michelle Corson said.

"I would start slowly I think that we need to open up the schools start getting kids back to the immune system" is just such a ridiculous claim coming from a doctor.

No, I think it's too early,…

No, I think it's too early, period. I think allowing some low exposure businesses to return to work in a week if trends continue the way they are makes sense, but it's still too soon for bars, dining, and other high exposure jobs until we have better testing coverage or evidence it's no longer spreading in the community.

I'm suggesting that "well people can just stay home if they don't feel safe" is flawed reasoning.

I didn't say it would cause…

I didn't say it would cause more evictions. I just said the reasoning of "if people want to stay home they can" is flatly untrue for a large portion of the population.

I'm fortunate enough to be able to work from home, many aren't. Those that aren't and need the money don't have the luxury to "choose" to stay home once any kind of unemployment protection disappears.

A "thinker and listener" who…

A "thinker and listener" who somehow didn't know until last week that the virus had asymptomatic spread?

Nobody is forcing people to…

Nobody is forcing people to go out so if people are concerned about their safety, they can still isolate.

People keep repeating this but you know it isn't true for most people, right? As soon as businesses open back up, those that can't (or won't) provide a work from home option basically leave the person with the choice of quitting (and forgoing any kind of UIA) or going in to work. Businesses that do choose to stay closed/reduced won't have any kind of protection from landlords demanding rent, either.

He's a Mechanical Engineer…

He's a Mechanical Engineer who claims to have invented email, I'd take this with a block of salt

This could be the Barstool…

This could be the Barstool Sports tagline

Hasn't he sworn off MGoBlog…

Hasn't he sworn off MGoBlog forever via twitter meltdowns more than once?

Why are they taking trips to…

Why are they taking trips to broaden their horizons when they could be forced into taking selfies with manchildren instead

If your fandom of a team is…

If your fandom of a team is predicated on being able to take selfies with the players, I don't know what to tell you

Double posted

IGNORE ME

He's not asking for the children

He's asking for the manchildren

Ok, fuck right off

My cousin was one of those "little girls with cancer" years ago and the MSU football and basketball teams did wonders for keeping her spirits up through chemotherapy.

The amount of dedication both the players and coaches showed to supporting her through her treatment and recovery was incredible and went far beyond some PR stunt. Coach Mannie (MSU football's S&C coach) even helped her with physical therapy for her recovery at the MSU facilities completely free of cost after she was clear of disease.

You mean the companies that have filed decades of suits

and spent millions in lobbying just to get the legal right to suppress content?

Yeah.

Well good thing you didn't

Well good thing you didn't sign him then

So if an EO comes out today outlawing college football

Do we just shut it all down?

Another update

30 minutes later and they're up to $13K

You're complaining

about an annual charity contest that's posted here every year that just so happens to be starting early this year for obvious reasons.

The content of Spencer's post is absolutely political. OP did a great job about keeping neutral and simply linking the drive. The first person to bring up any sort of politics in this thread was you, somehow incensed that people feel the need to give money to help refugees. That makes you an asshole.

Helping refugees shouldn't be a political issue.

It suddenly is. Spencer Hall is certainly not the person that made it a political issue.

Unlike the color of one's skin

or the country they were born in, you can choose not to be an asshole.

I have no problem hating on someone for something well within their power to control.

As long as you're blaming someone other than brown people

I think we're making progress

"In 3 hours, 175 @edsbs

"In 3 hours, 175 @edsbs donors have given $10,277.82 to make #RefugeesWelcome in Georgia. We cannot say thank you enough. And, keep it coming"

It's ok

keep posting and soon the points system will do the job for us

This is an annual charity competition that's always posted.

One that many of us take pride in Michigan having an undefeated record in.

It's starting early for obvious reasons, I'm sorry this isn't a safe space for bigotry?

$82.86

in honor of our favorite two refugees

Good to know

was wondering what the story was with the name change.

Seconding that it's some top tier drunk food though

NYPD belongs in a sentence with "good pizza"

about as much as Sparty belonged in the postseason this year

NW over Stanford last year?

NW over Stanford last year?

Who needs science

when we've got hot takes?

Yes

HIPAA is a big deal and this sounds like a breach

The officiating was bad to both sides.

It should be acknowledged as a bad job and the officials should see some blowback because of it, but you're delusional if you think you can say it for sure affected one side more than the other.

Buffalo Nickel?

In which the line crashing DE is the buffalo?

I didn't think

we'd start getting down in front posts before the first game was even played.

I would definitely buy #2 and #3

the Wolverine is an awesome animal, no reason not to include it on apparel.

It being July

doesn't change the fact that shit like this used to merit a good hand upside the head from the mods. Especially when it's in the thread title, ffs.

"Bucnutz"

Have we become THAT kind of message board now? Cripes.

This board is already enough of an echo chamber.

Pretending bad things didn't happen doesn't make it so.

Ferentz is against doing any work

that doesn't involve coasting on his ludicrous contract. He's been a dead coach walking as soon as Iowa figures out a way to afford cutting him loose for years now so of course he's going to want to do as little work as possible.

I don't know, way back he used to rub his thorax in borax.

I'm not the one who sold him to it.

If he won't admit it, I'm not gonna hold him to it.

I get the feeling Harbaugh and RTJ wouldn't get along

(No subject)

Might be OPs data settings

There are some settings that restrict data usage when not on wifi that might screw with the app.

I'm on the app not on wifi right now.

I think the problem might be on your end, not the app.

It's a crowdfunding scam.

As long as the kid gets some backers (he's bound to get a few idiots just with the sheer amount of press they've received) he's in the black.

He's going to pocket the crowdfunding money then quietly shut the project down.

Frankly I'm pretty disappointed in the CSG and Alumni Associations for giving this kid a legitimate platform to peddle his bullshit.
