The video of him telling the coaches is outstanding! Great way to start a long weekend.

Glad you don’t work for a college. I get excited for my students when they get scholarships internships, or even do well on business exam or paper after working through all they have to.

There are certain kinds of people in the world who understand or believe in their abilities to work with kid enough that they get enthused beyond regular mankind.

Hey Oracle2 -  and I'm glad my personality isnt such that I'm required to make asinine statements about others in order to make myself feel bigger or better than others.  There is just so much stupidity assumed in your statement - that anyone in that video is "required" to act as they did, or that anyone's reaction was anything other than genuine.   Did saying that really invoke a sense of superiority or was it intense shame that you could never feel such joy for another.  You are truly pathetic.

As I've aged I realize more than ever the importance of what power we have in helping shape our kids into great people.  This kid will remember that moment to his last breath.   What a great staff.  I hope we can keep this band together for a couple memorable seasons.  I like what I've seen

Pro tip: just post a link and don’t attempt embedding. We have to click a video to make it play. Same thing as clicking a link.

Braiden loves Nua and feels differently about Mattison.  Check out this excerpt from WolverinesWire:

“Coach Nua, but he’s just an awesome guy,” McGregor said. “He’s genuine, everything he says he means. He’s not going to tell me lies. That’s a big thing. I haven’t been told one lie from them and that’s huge for me.”

Before Nua was the defensive line coach at Michigan, Greg Mattison was leading the charge. Seeing Mattison flip sides to Ohio State didn’t hurt the Wolverines at all on the recruiting trail (as it pertained to McGregor), but it hurt the Buckeyes.

When asked about Mattison, at first McGregor had no comment, but later he let out some thoughts on the decision of him leaving and how that impacted his decision.

“I mean it did a little bit (Mattison’s impact on leaving Michigan for Ohio State) — I mean for the Ohio State recruiting,” McGregor said. “For Michigan recruiting, I was like, ‘Well, that kinda shows the kinda guy he is I guess.’ But right as soon as I met Nua, I was like, ‘Alright, made this easy, I know where I’m going.”

That’s a huge comment re: Nua.

Granted Braiden was going to be “don’t screw it up” recruitment for him as he was an in state kid and his family is pro-Michigan but that’s great to hear that he was so well respected and instantly able to connect and seal the deal.

I’m excited to see what’s in store from our D-Line this year and beyond with Nua there

There really is no overstating the potential importance of this concept.

If the shift in energy from lame duck Benedict Gmatt to Nua is that noticeable for a recruit, imagine how it feels for the guys that were in the Dline room the last few years.

It's a real testament to Chase since he was probably holding the unit together single handed.

Starting to feel real good about the group going forward.
