McGregor commit vid and him telling the coaches
The video of him telling the coaches is outstanding! Great way to start a long weekend.

Shit! I can't embed
I’ll be embedding yo mama tonight, son!
The reaction from the coaches is just awesome. I remember the naysayers saying Harbaugh would not enjoy recruiting. He looked like he was having a bit of fun there.
Pretty sure that was debunked when he started climbing trees at recruits' houses.
I’m glad the kid is coming to Michigan, but I’m also glad my job doesn’t require that I act deliriously happy about decisions made by teenagers.
I don't think it's an act for Harbaugh...
If your job paid millions and depended in large part on the decisions of teenagers, I'm pretty sure wouldn't have to act or it would be a lot easier to act deliriously happy when those decisions go your way.
Glad you don’t work for a college. I get excited for my students when they get scholarships internships, or even do well on business exam or paper after working through all they have to.
There are certain kinds of people in the world who understand or believe in their abilities to work with kid enough that they get enthused beyond regular mankind.
Hey Oracle2 - and I'm glad my personality isnt such that I'm required to make asinine statements about others in order to make myself feel bigger or better than others. There is just so much stupidity assumed in your statement - that anyone in that video is "required" to act as they did, or that anyone's reaction was anything other than genuine. Did saying that really invoke a sense of superiority or was it intense shame that you could never feel such joy for another. You are truly pathetic.
Explain to me WHEN he told the coaches. Seems like it was on his visit, right? So that was weeks ago? So the coaches knew the entire time and it didn't get out?
Correct
Why does Shaun Nua have a baseball bat lol
yes...he looked terrifying
was wondering the same
Visions of Al Capone.
Nah, he's a Goodfellas fan.
perhaps it is an homage to the long standing tradition of nonsensical bat-wielding by UM sports figures?
Helps weed out the defectors (*cough , Mattison, cough*) sooner.
Was the orange hat fake-out Clemson or Tennessee?
Please be Tennessee. F*** those hicks.
...should have shot the video in widescreen.
As I've aged I realize more than ever the importance of what power we have in helping shape our kids into great people. This kid will remember that moment to his last breath. What a great staff. I hope we can keep this band together for a couple memorable seasons. I like what I've seen
There's a better version floating around the interwebz...
Larry - that is a crass comment. Shame on anyone up-voting it.
Seriously? Lighten up.
Outstanding!
Dudek's leep into his arms needs to become internet famous
It looks like a squirrel jumping onto an oak tree. The squirrel was plump but also quick and agile, and the oak tree was not moved an inch.
Let us also not underestimate the fascinating and bizarre fact that Nua walks around with a baseball bat. I think I am going to like that guy...
Some options for the why:
- The bat was a message to Matty
- Nua was thinking “home run”
- Hulk smash?
Never know when you need to teach Larry Sellers what it feels like to fu*k a stranger in the ass.
About carrying around the baseball bat--maybe Nua is like the Tom Cruise character in A Few Good Men.

I’m not trying to hate, but dude, the shit you post is so weird
I will gladly eat the crow I was serving up when I was frustrated with Matty D when he made that Ronnie Bell barbecue insinuation and we were having a dogs hit recruiting cycle. Dude is fantastic, awesome guy.

Especially since he is smiling from both ends. Eh, on 2nd take his shirt was tucked in. Initially, looked like he lost his pants for a second.
Cool video. Really fun to see Harbaugh and the staff get that excited.
Here's a link:
That's really, really cool
That was a rad video
I thought I read somewhere he was a silent commit for two weeks prior?
Yea. ThE video confirms that. He was on campus two weeks ago.
Awesome video! Thanks for sharing
Braiden loves Nua and feels differently about Mattison. Check out this excerpt from WolverinesWire:
“Coach Nua, but he’s just an awesome guy,” McGregor said. “He’s genuine, everything he says he means. He’s not going to tell me lies. That’s a big thing. I haven’t been told one lie from them and that’s huge for me.”
Before Nua was the defensive line coach at Michigan, Greg Mattison was leading the charge. Seeing Mattison flip sides to Ohio State didn’t hurt the Wolverines at all on the recruiting trail (as it pertained to McGregor), but it hurt the Buckeyes.
When asked about Mattison, at first McGregor had no comment, but later he let out some thoughts on the decision of him leaving and how that impacted his decision.
“I mean it did a little bit (Mattison’s impact on leaving Michigan for Ohio State) — I mean for the Ohio State recruiting,” McGregor said. “For Michigan recruiting, I was like, ‘Well, that kinda shows the kinda guy he is I guess.’ But right as soon as I met Nua, I was like, ‘Alright, made this easy, I know where I’m going.”
That’s a huge comment re: Nua.
Granted Braiden was going to be “don’t screw it up” recruitment for him as he was an in state kid and his family is pro-Michigan but that’s great to hear that he was so well respected and instantly able to connect and seal the deal.
I’m excited to see what’s in store from our D-Line this year and beyond with Nua there
There really is no overstating the potential importance of this concept.
If the shift in energy from lame duck Benedict Gmatt to Nua is that noticeable for a recruit, imagine how it feels for the guys that were in the Dline room the last few years.
It's a real testament to Chase since he was probably holding the unit together single handed.
Starting to feel real good about the group going forward.
Pretty cool to see such a candid moment
