Massive Points Update
We ran a major update to the database today! Part of the update included one of the biggest reported issues - points. In our review of the board, we found that there were 1,537 users with an incorrect points value associated with their account. Each user was given one point PER comment for every published post. This collectively applied a total of 12,591 points to user accounts.
Some users will notice a HUGE increase from this update. But our news isn't all great. We have not fixed the problem for everyone. There are still 2008 users that are in need of an increase, and we are working to make that happen asap.
Stay with us, folks.
Unfortunately, I don't have enough points to post...so apologies for the thread jack.
What I lack in points I make up for in 3 extra tickets for tonight's MICHIGAN/ucla game.
Anyone interested? First one to email me at [email protected] gets them.
Wish we had a DM function here so I didn't have to put my email out there. Oh well.
Maybe someone could make a post for you :)
That's a really nice gesture.
let's see if humanelement finds my commentary as insightful as i do
apparently not
You know what I would trade all of my points for? When I "hit the jump" from the front page...it actually jumps to that part of the article!
Until then, I propose "hit the jump" be universally changed to "open the full article now but start from the beginning and find where you left off"
Piggy capitalists.

Gave you +1 and refreshed. Sorry to say, it appears to be a Nope.
Oh good.....no wait.....I think I am one of the 2008 whose account still doesn't work ???
Sorry Blue. I'm rooting for you.
Thanks buddy ?
Hope you are well down there in Florida!!

Doing well thanks. Hope you are doing the same in Rockford. It is the weekend.

If I could start a Friday night drinking thread, I would and toast all of my supportive Mgobloggers.
To quote Xtramelanin...
Cheers mates!!!!!
GO BLUE!!!!!!
Unsolicited advice. Stop spending time on fake internet dollars. Get rid of them and work on the regular site functions and an app.
Get off my lawn.
I'll never understand why people care about fake internet points.
I’m with you. It’s amazing to see adults here and on reddit complain about internet points. Really bizarre. Going to be tough explaining this to the aliens.
Bunch of losers with nothing better going on if you ask me.
It's true Maizen. They could spend all their time bitching about the quality of high school football players that Michigan recruits.
You just described yourself accurately.
Still at zero...
What is the mgopoint to bitcoin conversion rate?
The same as unicorns to leprechauns.
Will this make me rich?
I'm pretty sure I'm still at 0.
You are working.
Hey,check me out! I'm SOMEBODY!
Imma still be at 0 I bet
Nope. 93 points!
Can't keep a good dopamine down. You are working!

Hmm...
1,537 users and a total of 12,591 points works out to less than 10 points per impacted user. How is this massive? Especially when there are many individuals with more the 12,591 points by themselves.
A lot of users who started accounts, posted in one thread, and haven't been back. These were all users from the old site and if they go 0 to 1 we've found they accumulate points normally again. Estimate is we got 500 or so active users off the schneid with this update.
Hey Seth, mind if I get 1 point? :)
You show 266 to me.
I look forward to the return of the many trolls who previously struggled to accumulate points in order to shitpost.
I tried to use my points to buy a case of Founders Mas Agave at the Beer Vault but those bastards wouldn't take it as payment. Fuckers.
The word on the street is that you're not supposed to talk about points.
Talking about how you're not supposed to talk about points == OK???
Seems circular.
And boom goes the dynamite.
"Stay with us"... Like, where the hell are we supposed to go?
2008? Also the worst year of U of M football in most of our lifetimes? Coincidence? I wonder...
