Fickell is the Buckeyes backup plan in case Day doesn't work out. Funny because I have fond memories of that off-brand Adam Sandler as the Ohio State HC but they seem to think it would go better the second time around. So sending him off to Notre Dame works for me.

Will ND have the patience to wait on Fickell? If he wins Saturday, I highly doubt he interviews or gives ND an answer until after the season is finished(Early January). Meanwhile the coaching carousel will keep turning.

No, the cherry on top would be Georgia plays a respectable football team (not sure who that would be) and that team wins a fluky game and we face that team in the finals. I might lose my mind if that happens.

That team could be the other OSU…When I lived in Oklahoma I adopted the Cowboys as a backup to UM…It would take some extreme luck for them to beat UGA, but I’d like to beat 2 OSU programs this year!

I’d rather have Fickell locked-down at ND so OSU’s plan B isn’t available when Day leaves OSU for the NFL.
