Lorenz and others now putting their ballz on Elliott going to Texas.

Elliott going to Texas. Recruiting has gone from the ridiculous to the sublime. If this happens I hope Elliott apologizes to the blogger who he called out for saying he would end up at Texas.

Disappointed, but it's hard to pull a kid from his home state school and Texas is a huge program in probably the best college town in the country. Best of luck to him. Really stinks because I think this kid was way underrated, his atleticism at his size is incredible, really was thinking he would be the perfect complement to Gary, and both would make the NFL after 3 years.

Agreed.  As a former Michigan native now living near Austin, its nowhere near as good a college town as A2.  It doesn't even feel like a college town to me.  It feels like all the other big ass texas cities, only weirder.

If he goes to Texas, they can have him. Kid will have committed to 4 different schools before signing day. Kid needs some parental guidance, obviously that is lacking. That isn't the kids fault. You only get life skills by seeing them at home or have someone else teach them to you.

Man, don't know who raised you, but my Marine father would have kicked my ass if I gave my word to three different academic institutions and football coaches and then reneged. A kid de committing once, totally get it. A kid doing that 3 times and promising over and over he wouldn't listen to any other coaches pitches or visit Texas. That is just poor upbringing. Not saying kid is a horrible person, but those actions are definite errors in judgement and speak to a persons character.

I had my room decorated with Elliot pictures, and I refused to see the signs that he didn't want to be my dream Michigan player.  My father will be issuing a statement soon on this matter as will my life coach.  FREEP has been calling for my side of the story.

Hurt some. We took him and he was gonna be a big piece to what we do moving forward. So much that we kinda stripped recruiting that position up until recently again. This one stings if it happens.

But I find it very difficult to get upset about any decommitments right now.

Elliott is good, but I expect that we get Dwumfour's commitment very soon, folowed by Gary on NSD.

For every Antwaine Richardson we lose we seem to gain a David Long - really, I think everything is gonna be just fine.

Apparently the Swenson thing had a huge effect on him, which makes no sense because he had absolutely nothing to do with it.

He was tweeting out " so many snakes man"

And

" people I thought I could trust don't even look at them the same"

The kid is a loose cannon understandably at 17/18. So ridiculous that he's "committed" to 4 different schools. Going to suck he was one of my favorites talent wise we were bringing in.

I'm really surprised Harbaugh couldn't get him to see the truth during his in home visit.

Sigh

Impossible, I was told by many there would be zero effect because every school does it. :D

Dude was trying to recruit Josh King to UM Monday... then scheduling an official Wednesday.

It is what it is at this point, I'd like to hear the real back story of Richardson too.  I am seeing in 1 place we pulled an Enis, and I am seeing another we were surprised by it.

He's arguably seizing on an easy excuse for something he was going to do anyway.  I really doubt the Swenson thing affected him, but it sure as hell gives him cover.  There is probably a lot of pressure to stay in Texas and Strong really seems to be turning up the heat and selling immediate playing time and being at the front of turning UT around.  If Strong really does lock down the guys he's suppossed to lock down, then more power to him.  This may just be a miss and if they get Dwumfour and Gary on board and somehow manage to putt Chris Daniels in as well, things will be okay.  Wish the kid the best.

Yeah, it likely had nothing to do with Swenson as he had already scheduled the official before that went down in the press. The "Harbaugh killed Swenson" crowd will try and connect the two to make their whining seem valid, but they are grasping at their last straw.

Also, for what its worth - no idea if its true, but it seems logical - I've seen people say Elliott thought Michigan was going to get multiple Texas guys (such as DeLance and another name that escapes me) and it ended up with him being the only one and that's when he started to question his decision.
