Lions @ 49ers Game Day - Roll Call

Submitted by 906greenwooo on January 28th, 2024 at 12:23 PM

To all visiting Lions fans, a very warm welcome to Santa Clara, where kneecaps are on the menu! Downtown San Jose was flooded last night with Lions fans. Blue Lot 1 (across Great America from the stadium; behind Citrix) is apparently the pregame tailgating hub for the Good Guys, starting around noon.

By the way, I'm looking for one game ticket. I'd prefer to be with the honolulu blue.

Go Lions!

It will be tough to beat the 49ers on the road but it will be possible as long as the Lions do not turn the ball over. NFC this season  the weaker conference. The super bowl winner will be either KC or the Ravens.

You know Charlie Walser's got that place out east of Sanderson?  Well, you know how he used to slaughter beeves — hit 'em  right there in the forehead with a maul, truss 'em up, and slit their throats? Here, Charlie's got one all trussed up; all set to drain him, and the beef comes to — starts thrashing around: six hundred pounds of very pissed off livestock... you'll excuse the... well. Charlie grabs a gun there [to] shoot the damn thing in the head, but, with all the swingin' and the thrashin', it's a glance shot: ricochets around, comes back, hits Charlie in the shoulder. You go see Charlie: he still can't pick up his right hand for his hat. The point bein' that, even in the contest between man and steer, the issue is not certain.

This was my mindset a couple months ago; the Lions have improved, but they still had a ways to go to get to the A level. That's changed though; it seemed with every game, the Lions improved. They gained confidence. They proved they belonged.

Coach Campbell has instilled 'Grit' into this team. These guys believe in one another. I think they have a really good chance to beat San Francisco. Definitely a better one than they had a couple months ago.

To everyone in Michigan and Lions fans everywhere, enjoy today, ITS THE BEST!!!  Living outside of Boston, had the opportunity to experience a couple Championship Sunday's, at home and at Gillette, my favorite day and game.

We are hosting a watch party at our brewery in Portland, Maine. Quite a few ex-Michiganders here, and it has been fun to see all the Pat's fans jump on board. Everyone loves an underdog!

Goff wants to play well in front of his hometown crowd.  He will.

I hope the Michiganders can handle the sticker shock they will experience in the Bay Area.

It's going to be a tough game.  Purdy will play much better since it's not raining (Carney.... very small hands).

GO LIGHT BLUE!

Drove up from LA.  I just walked onto the stadium lot (thank you to whoever posted the other day about free parking a mile south, and walking up the trail —- perfect suggestion)!

Looks like 20% of folk are wearing Honolulu Blue, or some other shade of blue (I am in the latter group, I own no Detroit Lions gear).
