Linguist leaves Buffalo for Bama
The Saban retirement domino effect has now created four FBS head coaching vacancies.
Most interesting for Linguist - he’s leaving Buffalo to take the same position at Bama that he originally left Michigan to assume at UB.
Kudos to Bama. They’re giving DeBoer all the support a new HC could possibly ever want.

Came here only because I was trying to understand how this had 300 comments. I still don't really understand tbh.

Where'd you hear that crazy shit?!

Linguist took a team Liepold built and ran it into the ground. He just saw the writing on the wall and got out before the axe dropped. As for leaving Michigan on short notice, I'd say we did alright without him.

How cunning

Damn.
Not sure if I miss Mo Linguist or Dan Enos more. Was a sad day when both those fellas left UM.

Weird, I thought he left M to take the HC job at Buffalo. Now I feel even more slighted.

I clicked on here wondering how this post about a fairly obscure ex-assistant had 300+ replies.
I was not disappointed.

I clicked on this board topic not because I care about Mo Linguist going to Bama, but moreso why people here might care enough to comment 337 times. And then I saw why and WTF?!

Out of all the threads I've ever seen on this board, this is by far the weirdest.

It seems like a single or double vs a home run hire. Washington was overrated playing a VERY weak PAC. Harbaugh out coached him at every aspect of the game. Will be interesting to watch him play in the Ess Eee Cee. I don’t think it ends well.

He's gonna have far more talent at Alabama and it's not like he's a bad coach.
And Harbaugh has outcoached a lot of good coaches in his day (Pete Carroll, Urban Meyer to just name two).
