I'm in the minority on this, but I'm totally fine with Rutgers being a perpetually-incompetent doormat. Our division is already hard enough, it's nice having one guaranteed tune-up game midway through every season.

Every conference has an awful team (see Kansas, Oregon State, etc). I don't buy the argument that Rutgers is actually embarrassing/hurting the Big Ten

Oddly enough, I think Jones...  Oh, never mind.  He's a crap person and shouldn't be coaching anywhere.

I really don't know what available candidate could do anything redeemable at Rutger.  They are in so far over their head with the B1G it's not even funny anymore.  They will never attain a level of respect that even Purdue and Illinois can get in the conference.

Why would anyone take the Rutgers job? I would take any group of 5 job like Colorado state or FIU over Rutgers. I just don’t ever see them being successful enough to get more than 6-7 wins as long as Michigan penn state and ohio state stay dominant.

Where is Schiano at, they havent been the same since he left? Just think, the B1G could have "choppin wood" and "row the boat" all in one conference. Hooboy!!!

I am all for reducing the Big Ten by at least two teams (you know which), but assuming that is not going to happen, I am happy to have a couple breathers in what is otherwise a pretty relentless yearly schedule.  So, yeah, Rutgers can suck forever as far as I am concerned.
