Late Afternoon Games Thread

If you get bored watching Appalachian State play in the Sun Belt championship game at 4, you can always switch to the SEC game.  Roll tide, as much as it pains me to say that.

Ugh...  Commercial.  No play.  Commercial.

How does anyone in TV or football's executive offices fins this watchable?  How does the Committee watch this and not complain?

I really don’t know what to think about this.

Georgia and Bama don’t look great, but then they’re playing each other. They probably didn’t think we looked great against OSU either.

Just win everything we play, I guess.

Georgia made a lot of mistakes and Bama took advantage.  Honestly this year with the poise Michigan plays with they could beat either team imho.

An undefeated conference champion is not getting dropped period. Injury or not you can't have a team in a major conference win all their games and not get in. And people are really overrating a Louisville team with two losses to non ranked teams and whose best win is against a bleh ND acting like they are favorites regardless of who plays QB for FSU. They could but would still have FSU as slight favorites.

I remember a time when Michigan was left out because of an injured QB.  The end result changed football, changed the Big Ten, in ways that were enduring and beneficial.  Could such a change happen again?  Sure, but probably not.

I don't care about best vs deserving.  If FSU wins, they will have proven to be one of the best four of the Power 5 conferences by winning their conference and remaining undefeated.  Ergo, as one of the 4 bet, they would deserve to be in the playoff.

If Bama or Texas don't like that, they shouldn't have lost a game.

BTW Georgia has to be left out if they lose. If they lose, their best win is against Missouri at home, and then some other very flawed SEC teams. Georgia's resume would be worse than both Ohio State and Texas.

Bame wouldn't get left out, but the real question would be Florida State if they beat Louisville. I honestly think that FSU might get left out in favor of both Texas and Bama in that scenario.

...And then, who do we play as the 1 seed? Not thrilled by any of that, but that's football.
