If you get bored watching Appalachian State play in the Sun Belt championship game at 4, you can always switch to the SEC game.  Roll tide, as much as it pains me to say that.

With Texas winning, UM would probably be better off if Georgia wins, just in case the unthinkable happens and UM loses they would have a better chance of "pulling an OSU" and backing into the playoff.

Of course, if UM wins they will be better off if Bama wins as they are almost certainly not as good as Georgia.

I honestly thought it was more just a fluke that Georgia Tech had some good success running against Georgia last week but starting to look more like a relative weakness for Georgia in relation to the rest of the machine they have.

I'm probably slow to this, but the story is setting up for another asterisk on Michigan's national championship. If Bama and FSU win, we ought to see:

  1. M
  2. UW
  3. FSU
  4. Texas

And everybody's going to dismiss the winner because no (current) SEC team.

Edit: Bizarre reaction to this, apparently because some folks don't understand that an asterisk simply denotes a caveat. All I'm describing above is that some folks would consider this national championship less than because of the lack of SEC representation. Not saying it's correct, but reality isn't always correct.

being candid, this SEC game is good football.  i equate it with our game vs. ohio.  excellent athletes, well-schemed, playing hard.

rooting for 'bama is tough though.  it's like rooting for iraq to beat iran or something like that.

That's the key to figuring out this whole CFP if Bama wins.. Texas defeated Bama at Bama, and now Texas is the 12-1 Big 12 champion.  The committee must rank Texas higher in the CFP than Alabama.  That's why GA likely doesnt get into the tournament if Alabama wins and FSU wins.
