Kirk should know better, but I'm not surprised.  He's become a hack ESPN slappy over the years, and he likes to keep his paychecks greased.  I find him almost unwatchable with Al Micheals on Sunday Night Football, he offers no insight.  When it comes to college, the conference you come from is more important than the facts.  Now this?  Again, he should know better then to offer up this weak sauce.

I'm disappointed. For a while, he seemed a reasonable commenter, and relatively balanced for The Game. That was especially true when Columbus slappies gave him so much grief that he had to leave Columbus.

But this whining? Dude.

Sure, we talk trash here but it's mostly us jabbering at each other. But you're a grown man with presumably mature ideas and satisfactions, plus a professional job on national TV.

In the levels of bias, from little discernible in Gus Johnson to flaming homer in Couch/Charbonneau, you're threatening to require renaming of Level 11, to Couch-bonneau-streit.

And OSU won how many close games in the last decade due in very large part to playing injured Michigan QBs or third string QBs who had no business being on the field?

I don’t recall a single OSU fan putting an asterisk next to those games. They were happy to shout from the rooftops that they won because they were the better team and Michigan was just hot garbage that didn’t belong on the same field as them.

Michigan won last year because it was just a flat out better team. Were it not for some ridiculous circus catches by Olave and JSN, Michigan could’ve easily won by 3-4 scores.

The weather wasn't bad enough to affect OSU's passing offense. If the game was played at 3:30 pm, it would have but that game was no worse than the Nebraska game. There were some snowflakes but it didn't stick on the ground.

The game wasn't even fucking close. It took them miracle catched lls on 3rd and 4th and long to even stay in the game. It could have easily been 42-13. Michigan scored a touchdown on every single possession in the 2nd half. Did the weather help Michigan with that too? Fuck Kirk and fuck every single ohio state buckeye

Herbie lost all credibility with me in 2007 when he reported that Les Miles was coming to Michigan. I really liked him up to that point.  Since that moment in 2007, he has been brutal and a total ESPN hack.

I know this may sound extreme but Les Miles backing out of that deal set our program back for almost a decade. If our program would have gone Carr, Miles, Harbaugh we would be in a very different place than we were the last 10-15 years. To make matters worse, OSU was at a very pinnacle point in their program when Tressel was caught lying and who falls into their lap……..freaking Urban Meyer. Those two changes IMO is what has changed this rivalry pre-2021. Harbaugh now has this program back where it belongs. Go Blue!

I am surprised you haven't negged yet. There are quite a few Herbstreit fans around here.

His analysis and opinions are not good anymore. He has become too much of a Homeboy for OSU and SEC. At least Des doesn't hide. Herbstreit hides behind unbiased bullshit. He wasn't that way a while ago.

OSU could not stop Michigan's running game. That was the problem and it was nothing to do with snow.

Oh. One more thing. Half the teams in NFL play in cold weather.

I mean, the weather favors the running team. I'd agree with that. But I think historically the biggest factors in The Game have been turnover margin and success running the ball. If Ohio State isn't built for the weather that's native to their area of the country, then that's on their coach. Michigan just did what teams in the Midwest are expected to do when the weather turns in November.
