Josh Gattis just tweeted "Hey" and tagged Nico Collins in it. He responded to a tweet of Jalen Mayfield doing the same towards Joe Milton.

Let the speculation commence.

Have to imagine Gattis and Harbaugh have been in talks with Nico and that it's leaning positively for Gattis to do something like this...we'll see *fingers crossed*

Edit: Brad Hawkins just tweeted the same thing, but for Ambry Thomas..

Ambry is far more important to get back in terms of the OSU matchup. Right now, Fields has a slew of guys to throw to who are all going to be playing on Sundays before too long, and a Michigan secondary that outside of Dax, has a lot of guys who are really just guys, or who are a year or two away (Andre Seldon for instance) from being impactful contributors.

Getting Nico back would certainly be helpful, but he cant help this defense. In any case, you could get Ambry back and I don't think that changes the final result against those guys. We're still going to lose.

• Appeared in all 13 games with one start at defensive back and also contributed on special teams;  made 20 tackles with 1.5 for loss and five pass breakups to earn his second varsity letter

This is the production Zordich got from the #700 ranked recruit in '18.

And we have 4 inside the top 400 from '19 and '20.

He may not recruit the best but his development has earned some faith.

This has long been a known fact. Zoe such is a ghost on the recruiting trail, but he knows how to coach the position. The issue is, as stated frequently, you can teach technique and coverage skill, but you can’t teach speed or athleticism. Even if you have sound technique and guys playing their roles appropriately, a corner who runs a 4.6 is going to get toasted by a wideout who is a burner and can leap. This is part of the reason Brandon Watson was a great 3rd choice at CB or guys like that make a great Nickel, but are only moderately functional as an every down corner. They can play against the middling teams in the Big Ten, but when you get to these teams that have threats at all skill positions, the thin-ness of the position group gets exposed.

I understand what your saying but technique is what is important for the first seconds of a play to not get beat, than if your Dline can move the QB you deny the receivers time for separation.

While it will be great when we have Seldon, Will Johnson, Domani Jackson and Jalen Gould back there with Quinten and Makari, I'd rather be able to pressure the QB, which we should be able to do this year with the talent on the Dline.

Therein lies the problem against OSU. They have so much speed at wideout that we’re shackled from the time we take the field. The only way we stand a chance is with an effective O that can keep them off the field. I do believe Milton will provide an element that OSU hasn’t defended well in the past. At least I hope.

Hard to imagine Nico would be losing anything by coming back. There's the risk of getting injured but then why announce that he is coming back for a senior season last winter? What is he going to be doing in October through December that is better for his stock than playing games?
