This is an appreciation thread.
May single-handedly swing big man recruitment for a decade.

Jordan 5th Year Missed Tip in 13 But Literally Made Up For It Through Intangibles Falsely Onlu Given to Slow White Kids Morgan

I know it sounds crazy, but he very well may be our best player right now. Obviously he's limited offensively, but what he does defensively and leadership wise, he's a bad man.

He has become such a strength on this team, he continues to improve! To hear the announcer say, "Morgan with the soft touch" speaks volumes for how far he's come, lol! We wouldn't have won the game without him.

Normally I hate when people post something they heard the local guy say on the radio, buuuut, I'm making an exception for this because this time the comment was simply an account of what the announcer, Bret Bakita, witnessed behind his seat. A little over midway through the first half when Michigan was rocking, Morgan had a few great offensive scores/dunks and defensive stops. Bakita turns as the crowd is roaring and comments on how the NBA scouts behind him were just shaking their heads at the display. I'm sure plenty of this had to do with our explosive offense, but when I heard it I couldn't help but think of his mom's quote about how he wants to play at the next level and how they (his parents) have been waiting to see the beast finally emerge that they knew was there all along. No idea if he's got the tools, etc.- looks feasible to me but I'm no scout. There's no one who deserves it more that hasn't really received that attention yet. I hope his beast mode display continues to the point that someone at least gives him a shot to develop. I'm buying that jersey day 1, or making a custom if it's not offered by whoever he might have a chance to play for. Gonna miss this guy. Such a freaking leader.

Mmmm Hmmm

I love Jordan, and I will miss him after this season. Nothing in the abstract drives me crazier than having stone hands, but he more than makes up for it on defense and playing some savvy offense.

Physically has been obvious,

But the evolution of his mindset has been even more impressive, especially the last couple of months as he has put the team on his shoulders with his leadership.  And since the Tournament began, he's taken it to yet another level.

Officials are finally starting to respect his game.  It's about time----he's obviously earned it.

Just so everyone knows, Jordan Morgan was 7-9 from the field and made his sole free throw, so that's 15 points and that was the most of any Wolverine tonight. In addition, he had seven rebounds (one offensive, six defensive) and led the team in total rebounds as well. I don't think there is any way to discount how much of a force he has been all year and indeed in this tournament.

This kid deserves all accolades he receives.  His parents (whom I met in Indy after the Illinois game in the B1G Tournament) are beyond proud yet humble about their son.  Jordan is a Michigan Man at a level reached by few.  Congratulations to the Morgan family for raising such a fine young man.

...is what worries me about NEXT year's team.

We had Novak, we have Morgan. We completely may lose "that player" next year. Hopefully McGary brings it, hopefully he returns. But I just love having the underdog, no one recruited me, I work harder than everyone, I get the most out of what God gave me player to go along with all of the talent we put on the floor.
