Texas fans seem very confident he is going to Texas. Apparently has scheduled a visit there this weekend.

Brian has got Trente Jones…

Brian has got Trente Jones pegged as returning at RT and said Jones was coming back on the podcast, but 3 days ago Jones said “(Heading to the NFL Draft) is what it's feeling like right now."

Did a stand-up job against…

Did a stand-up job against elite pass rushers. Run blocking was on point as well!

You mean on the first…

You mean on the first Alabama TD? IIRC, Sainristil was all alone in the middle field. Very hard to make an open field tackle on a good RB in the center of the field. The real problem on that play is that the linebackers were nowhere to be found.

That said, I saw Sainristil struggle with tackling a few times so it was a bit of a rough game for him in that department.

Michigan should be up by 7,…

Michigan should be up by 7, if not 10 points. They are dominating but too many unforced errors:

1. McCarthy almost interception

2. Morgan muffed punt

3. Bredeson stupid penalty that killed a promising looking drive

4. Roughing the kicker that should have given Alabama a first down

5. Botched XP

Meanwhile I don't think Alabama has had any major miscues other than getting demolished in the pass rush.

Clean up the mistakes and Michigan wins!

Not saying it’s right, but…

Not saying it’s right, but it’s entirely possible that the committee puts Washington ahead of Michigan.

Woof, did I watch the same…

Woof, did I watch the same game as you guys? I thought the D-line did generate plenty of pressure and Jenkins was constantly driving guys backward. ECU just gameplanned non-stop quick throws, hence no sacks.

Guess will see what the UFR says.

Potentially using email login details to try to alter something in the university system? Or, more nefariously, using login details to stalk a woman employed within the university? Hopefully nothing like that though.

Sorry if I'm a bit slow, but is Schoonmaker definitely gone?

Wow, never heard this one…

Wow, never heard this one before, so edgy and original. Thanks for coming in and sharing this with us.

Harbaugh put his coaching…

Harbaugh put his coaching career on the line against Illinois to beat Ohio State.

He knew beating Illinois didn't matter in terms of Big 10 championship, and if they lost to Illinois and beat OSU, Michigan still makes it into the CFP. So the Illinois game didn't matter. He spent the entire Illinois game thinking ahead to OSU.

If Michigan lost to both Illinois and OSU, Michigan fans would have been saying UnAcCePtAbLe, and calling for him to be fired. However, he knew they needed to prepare for OSU, so he risked losing to Illinois to do what was need to prep for OSU and get the win.

Sainristal breaking up that…

Sainristal breaking up that pass to Stover in the end zone was the defensive play of the century.

What an incredible play and was the beginning of the end for OSU.

The commentators called it.

The commentators called it.

This Michigan fanbase absolutely gave up on Harbaugh and were calling for his head years ago. If they got their way, Michigan would be in the cellar right now.

Michigan fans don't deserve Harbaugh, but sure need him! So glad he is here.

One-loss Tennessee and/or…

One-loss Tennessee and/or one-loss USC (who would be Pac-12 champion) will get in over one-loss Michigan or OSU. And looking like TCU will run the table, so I think it's doubtful that BIG gets two teams in.

Good playcalling all game -…

Good playcalling all game - Rutgers just ran out of fluke energy. Check the RPS in the UFR next week, Michigan is going to come out strong

Coaching/play-calling is…

Coaching/play-calling is fine. The team just isn't executing now. JJ has been inaccurate and DJ Turner is getting picked on by a 3rd string QB.

It feels like the Michigan…

It feels like the Michigan defense doesn't have huge liabilities, but they don't have elite talent either. They are just sort of OK all around.

Run defense got repeatedly gashed today, pass defense gave up many big plays. Taulia is Taulia, he mixes up big plays with bad interceptions which prevented the Maryland offense from doing more damage.

I think the Michigan defense will handle bad offenses very well, they will hold their own against mediocre offenses, but get they will continue to get exposed by good offenses. Ohio State is the only very good offense Michigan plays all year and it could get ugly.

Offense was fine. They…

Offense was fine. They scored on all but 4 drives, which were:

1. Stokes fumbles on a likely scoring drive.

2. McCarthy runs backwards 15 yards and fumbles on a likely scoring drive. Moody misses 43 yard attempt.

3. First drive to start second half, first down then punt.

4. 3-and-out on the second drive of the second half.

So really only two drives where the offense got ran off the field. Not bad.

All good points, thanks!

All good points, thanks!

Nearly everyone that was on…

Nearly everyone that was on the fence to go early to the NFL or transfer has done so. I feel like this means Harbaugh has told the team he is gone.

One year ago, this board was…

One year ago, this board was demanding that Harbaugh be fired so we could hire Urban.

On the other hand, Georgia…

On the other hand, Georgia lost their star linebacker in late October due to off the field stuff and, to my knowledge, he won't be playing in the playoffs. Alabama is the only good team Georgia has played since they lost him and their linebacking unit struggled a lot in that game. On the other other hand, Michigan doesn't have Alabama's offense!

That's what she said

That's what she said

1. Georgia

2. Michigan

1. Georgia

2. Michigan

Michigan's signature win is Ohio State, Alabama's signature win is Ole Miss (advantage M)

Michigan's loss is against Michigan State, Alabama's loss is against Texas A&M (advantage M)

Michigan's win against a fringe top-25 team is Wisconsin, Alabama's win against a fringe top-25 teams is Arkansas (advantage M, I think)

I don't see any other games that would put Alabama ahead of Michigan.

Then there is a huge drop off after the top 3. There are several teams that could claim the #4 and #5 spots.

8. Oregon

As Alex mentioned, the…

As Alex mentioned, the inexperience on the defense keeps getting exposed. Michigan is not calling bad plays on defense, the players just keep consistently getting fooled by misdirections and RPOs. Hopefully they will improve as the year progresses.

Henning is a good returner…

Henning is a good returner but had a bad day. Ran one punt return backwards, and muffed an other.

Meanwhile, Moody needs to get some recognition on "You're the man now, dog"

Another good game from a…

Another good game from a coaching perspective. The more I watch this team, the more apparent that it comes that, outside of a few players, there is not a huge amount of talent on offense or defense. Yet the coaches continue to squeeze every bit of potential out of the players.

Michigan was down two WRs and two starting OL, and has a QB who is just average, and still put up a solid offensive output. I like the Gattis playcalling a lot as he mixes things up and gradually cracks the code over the course of the game.

What are people's thoughts on

What are people's thoughts on the Wisconsin-MSU game? I missed it, but looking at the box score, it looks a little flukey. A 66 yard fumble return for a TD, MSU botches a snap giving Wisconsin the ball at the 5 yard line, terrible interception by O'Connor gives Wisconsin the ball at the 28.

Meanwhile, MSU went away from their run game and had their untested QB throwing a lot. Even in the first half before the game got away, it looked like they were running less than usual.

Just looks like a curious game to me on paper, wondering how it looked live?

Speight's stats through 3

Speight's stats through 3 games as a redshirt sophmore: 51/80 (63.8%), 8TD, 1 INT.

Clearly we should bench him, no sense in developing this underclassman further. Especially considering how successful benching our past starting QBs has been (Benching Gardner for Morris, benching Threet for Sheridan).

We'll get Ole Miss or

We'll get Ole Miss or Mississippi State in the Outback Bowl

Wouldn't get too optimistic.

Wouldn't get too optimistic. Rutgers and Indiana have two of the worst passing defenses in college football

Excellent 1st round by

Excellent 1st round by Mayhew. Interior O-line was by far the weakest unit last year and these moves help shore it up. Tomlinson is the best guard in the draft and Ramirez can take over center. Malcolm Brown is a talent, but he does't fit in with Detroit's scheme.

I think people are

I think people are misunderstanding. They aren't proposing to scrap "The Victors" and replace it with something new. They are just suggesting adding a new fight song. We already have a second fight song called "Varsity". This would just be a third one in addition to the other two.

I guess that's not nearly as egregious to me as it is to others. It'll probably sound terrible though.

Additionally, Peterson would

Additionally, Peterson would stuff leaves in his son's mouth while beating him and brags in a text message about "tearing that butt up".

The child also alleges that AP struck him in the face, but testimony from children is often unreliable.

Edit: But it's ok because my pappy used to tell me to fetch the switch that he would beat me with when we lived on the farm!

He's recieving more physical

He's recieving more physical abuse from his own ridiculous dives than from challenging players

Germany can beat the US by 3

Germany can beat the US by 3 goals and the US would still go through if Portugal wins by only 1 or if Portugal/Ghana tie. Hell, Germany could beat us 10 - 0 and we are still through if Ghana/Portugal tie (and there is a decent chance this happens).

I don't know how you put those last 15 seconds on Klinsman. At 94:30, the USA probably had literally a 98% chance of winning that game. Klinsman has done a terrific job so far this World Cup, all without his star striker.

Jordan Morgan is my favorite

One of my favorite moments in

One of my favorite moments in that game was MSU slapping the floor for the 14th time, immediately followed by Walton stuffing a 3-pointer down their throats.

You are "done" with the NFL

You are "done" with the NFL because of the officiating in that game? You must be new to sports in general.

I'm going to go against the

I'm going to go against the grain and say the playcall was just fine. It appeared if DG waits 0.5 - 1.0 more second, Gallon was going to open for the win.  DG wasn't under pressure, stared down Dileo and made a quick throw with a guy jumping the route.

Good playcall, bad decision by DG.
