Yeah it’s just fans? Do you even visit social media? It doesn’t matter if you are an athlete, a celebrity, or a regular person if someone doesn’t like what you post they go at you. And to top it off it’s people you don’t even know!! If you can’t handle it or it bothers you, you shouldn’t be on it.

The QB for Michigan isn’t for everyone and it sure as heck wasn’t for JOK.

I have no ill will against Speight or O’Korn, I am looking forward to better leadership at the QB position this year and moving forward

....... There are assholes in every fan base... there are fans that let their passion get away from them in disappointment and act like assholes even when they're really not.

Anyone that was in The Big House on 10/07, watching one of the worst performances of the season, during a torrential downpour, shouldn't question the fan base.  The fans brought passion that the team didn't!

I admit to using Twitter but I wouldn’t care at all if it burned itself to the ground. The daily “OMG, did you see what so and so tweeted 9 years ago” and this nonsense with a guy obviously just stirring up shit up is getting old.

Get off my lawn.

Sorry John. You were part of the worst QB duo at Michigan I have seen in my lifetime outside of 08 and even then they may have been better. At least those guys had much worse talent around them for us to accept that the year was a wash.

The fans don't like you because you are a whiner and you turned what could have been an amazing season with the talent around you into a giant disappointment with your absolute trash play. We can accept that and move on as we must, but then you start taking shots at the fanbase? That's not a good idea my friend. People were willing to move past it and accept you as someone who tried their best, despite the results. Not so much anymore.

We will always have the Purdue game that O'Korn saved.

I always found it messed up if you criticised Speight's play on here you would get neg bombed but it was popular to criticise O'Korn. Both tried their best in the winged helmet. Yeah it didn't go as we all wished it but going out of your way to bash any Michigan player makes you a shitty fan.

No big deal in the grand scheme of things, some of our fans are jack asses, just like every other fan base has.

You would prefer some unity though, having everyone pull in the same direction makes winning championships more likely.  Not sure what Speight's tone was on the chicken story, but he sounded a little butt hurt.  O'Korn says he was talking about some of the fans, but why get involved at all?  And of course the media is going to pounce, they are dying to see Harbaugh fail and a bunch of drama ensue.  It's the coaches, staff, and players against the world right now, hope they use it.

The fact that this story (and thread) have gotten so much attention just means it mid-summer and all these football reporter-types have nothing else to do.

Who cares what he thinks. He had plenty of chances to win football games and wasn’t good. Comes with being the QB at a major D1 program. Boohoooo

Screw this guy. If he didnt play like steaming hot garbage then fans wouldnt have rode him. Im trying to forget about our QB play last season yet here comes JOK and Speight trying to get back into the spotlight

HaHa you clowns. Way to go John O'Korn, let these fools know.

According to this thread, John O'Korn is 95% at hitting the nail on the head every time ;)

This is exactly why many top recruits won't go to UofM and yet you are all the same dunderheads that that complain that Harbaugh can't recruit Michigan.

He can't recruit because a lot of players don't want to play for petulant, demanding and unforgiving maroons like you all.

That's why it feels soooo great to be a fan like me, since I'm going to happy root for my 3 star underachievers; and be absolutely sure next year is our year, even when we go 8-5 again.*

And when you idiots allow enable the "Harbaugh to the NFL" narrative to come to fruition, because you're bad fans, I'll root for John L Smith when he is announced as the next coach.

*("going 8-5" is used for dramatic effect and in no way reflects the actual prognostication of the author)

There's an unfortunate floor for the percentage of fans being insufferable once the crowd gets to a certain size.  He doesn't seem to realize it, but JOK's beef isn't with Michigan; it's with the big stage.  It's not like he'd fare any better if he played the way he did wearing green and white.

People suck.  Best way to avoid that problem is to avoid people.  That road don't go to the NFL, though.  Or Twitter, for that matter.
