His chances of making an NFL roster or honestly even practice squad have to be like 4 million to one. I also didn't particularly care for him during the Amazon series.

BUT, I think it is beyond childish to put stupid responses to his tweet etc... critisizing him etc... I'm sure he gave UM everything he had and he did it with class. Good luck to him, maybe he wants to get into coaching or something and this would be a great experience for him.

His play during the Purdue game was great (and saved us from a potential L) and he played about 7/8 of the OSU game pretty good as well (if it weren't for some of the bad throws at the end). In particular. I recall seeing him pushing one of our backs into the endzone showing some grit.

I am not wishing ill upon him or that he fail or anything of that nature, but All or Nothing did sour my opinion on him. Guy had an awful lot of bravado and didn't seem to be self-aware enough to realize his play was a major problem during a lot of those games. As for him landing with the Lions, he's a warm camp body, maybe another team calls, maybe he frames his practice jersey and on with his life. Good luck to him, whatever happens.

I wish him the best of luck.  For however long it lasts, It's HIS hat to throw into the ring.  He'll always know he tried his best.  It's worth the shot to live your dream.

I don't think he was a good fit at UM. I think he would have done much better in a looser, spread offense. One like his Houston days when you would have thought he could be an all American someday.

The O'Korn who left Michigan was a terrible QB by any objective measure.

If he hangs around the league it'd be because he became a completely different QB, which is something any of us should hope for, but that wouldn't invalidate any assessments of his college play, because those assessments say he would have to do nothing short of. . . becoming a completely different QB to make it in the NFL.  His odds aren't zero, but they're rather grim.

would expect, and be accustomed to, the abuse they get from the cretins who infest SM. Getting bent out of shape about it is like getting outraged about mosquitoes and cockroaches.

O'Korn is a good enough athlete to play in the NFL.  His arm is plenty strong enough as well.

He is a frustrating QB to watch, because for every 4 bad plays, he would make one great play either throwing on the run or just setting his feet and zipping a rocket over the middle.

But then the bad 4 plays come... repeat ad nauseum.

If he could get his QB head together, and cure his happy feet, perhaps he could hold a clipboard for someone at the next level if he hangs around enough camps.

Wow. I would think that the cleats would have been hung up and okorn. He is not even a practice squad q.v. in the nfl. Good luck to him though. I always liked him as a person just not as a QB

I only read to make sure that a /s was included somewhere...

Anyway good luck to JOK. Despite his, uh, erratic play at UM he seems like a good dude who works hard and always played hard for his team and his teammates.

Good luck, JOK!!!

He may not have had the talent or ability that we had hoped for as fans (or as coaches), but he did give what he had.  And what he had was the best the team could offer at that point.  I'll never hold that against him, and will always appreciate that he gave his best effort to help Michigan win some football games.  We can wish the talent had been better, but we should appreciate that he gave everything he did have.  I wish him luck.

Good luck to him. Despite a subset of this fanbase that takes it as a personal offense when a college football player doesn't play up to their expectations, he played hard at Michigan and I wish him the best of luck in the NFL, even if his odds are pretty slim.

Terry Bradshaw or something ridiculous so that we will all have our mouths agape and be like "Dammit, just what in the fuck is happening here?"

Seems like an appropriate outcome in the upside-down universe of modern day Michigan football.

As long as he practices with the Lions, whether it's for the summer or a weekend tryout, he's getting a paycheck, is that correct? forgive the dumb question. just wondered.

This has to be a most welcome postgraduate summer job

This is the type of shit pick that only the Browns or Lions would pull off. If someone offered me, as a GM, a used Gatorade container and a squeaky-wheeled towel cart, i would take both of them 500 times faster than JOK.
