As a person that goes to every game, for decades.  And don't sell tickets to make $5 or stand on the corner looking for a cheap date.  Kinda beneath a UM Grad.

How about just a Big 14 Championship for the money.  Year what ... 6..  Problem is we can't do any better.

Drop a lol bomb and let the spell check POLICE come out.  Here they come.  Problem with this country.  Facts and a decent life mean zero.

Here is part of your comment: "Problem with this country. Facts and a decent life mean zero."

Are you saying that the biggest problem confronting the United States right now is that "facts" and living a humble, virtuous life don't mean the same thing that they used to?

If so, I wholeheartedly agree with your claim. Humility and facts are sorely lacking in all phases of American life.

Franklin is at #2 with basically the same logic you could use for Harbaugh/Michigan. This random dude's list means nothing.

James Franklin has been close to reaching the College Football Playoff three times at Penn State, but until he can knock off Ohio State and not hit a pothole on the road, a national championship will continue to escape Franklin's outreached hands.

Agreed, couldn't be a stupider thing to get mad about with that logic. Day, Riley, and Smart all have a real shot every season. Kelly/Mullen/Cristobal aren't outlandish but would need a lot to happen to really threaten. None of the other names are more than a shot in the dark right now.

The only thing separating Franklin and Harbaugh is that Franklin has beaten OSU once, because of which he won the big ten with a 11-2 record. This is the same year that they also lost to Pittsburgh 39-42 and to Michigan 10-49. That is pretty much it. The reason why Franklin is rated higher however is because he finishes the season on a winning note instead of losing to OSU constantly and then following it up with a bowl game loss. It makes it look like the program is on an upswing every year.

Good.  I'm glad they left Michigan and Harbaugh off this list.  I hate when the Wolverines get over-hyped pre-season.  I would rather be overlooked and then surprise everyone with our execution.

Also - they included Brian Kelly/ Notre Dame on this list so why would anyone take this seriously...?

I agree.  When was the last time a Michigan team went into the season with atmospheric expectations and delivered with a national championship?  The 1900's?  1940's?  Maybe the 1989 basketball team?  Give me a scenario like 1997 Michigan football.  That provides the ultimate of satisfaction.

"Stand on the corner looking for a cheap date"

Are you saying there are ticketholders that stand outside of the big house trying to bribe girls to go on dates with them for a michigan football ticket?

Or am I not comprehending that correctly

I didn't realize being talked about for a national championship actually got you a national championship. If that's the case, I want a 2016 national championship trophy damnit! We got a whole lot of hype until Iowa!

That article is hilarious. Including Josh Heupel, while noting that he won't win a title at UCF, but is super-close because he'll eventually have a P5 job is just vintage clickbait.

Prior to 2019, what indication was there that Ed Orgeron could win a NC? He had terrible results at Ole Miss and couldn't keep the USC job. In 3 years at LSU, he lost to Alabama each year, twice at home. National championships sometimes come out of nowhere, and past performance does not guarantee future results.

What a garbage list.  Jmes Franklin at number 2?  Give me a break.  Gus had his chance already and blew it.  His teams since that first year havent been nearly as good.

And UCF?  This is nothing but click bait.

As a person.  Who hates OSU I hate this, list.

Harbaugh.

He can win a title, now that I have stated such and because I live on the West Coast he is in the national conversation.

Even better that we are not mentioned, because this upcoming year is when the paradigm truly shifts for the better... We are in contention, and McCaffrey will be a real Heisman candidate and will lead the program forward.  I feel like I'm one of the few who see it coming, that the team rallies around him and Milton too, who will get some run. OSU is on a crazy run and has been blocking us but the opportunity is there and the program is on the cusp of taking it.    Go BLUE.

I could pull up this same post from June 4th 2018, revenge tour and who's going to beat us talk all summer on this site.  I could pull the same post from June 4th 2019, speed in space and Shea Patterson is back and a Heisman contender.  Hell I can probably go back and pull a similar post every year for the past 20 years.

I think it's kinda bullshit that Franklin is on that list, if Harbaugh isn't. Franklin got lucky and won the B1G after we pummeled them and got lucky on a last second play against OSU. OSU is always going to be the top dog in B1G for the foreseeable future and is always going to be the one roadblock for both Michigan and PSU
