As a person that goes to every game, for decades.  And don't sell tickets to make $5 or stand on the corner looking for a cheap date.  Kinda beneath a UM Grad.

How about just a Big 14 Championship for the money.  Year what ... 6..  Problem is we can't do any better.

It's all just speculation, and about as important as pre-season rankings.  None of that matters compared to how the season actually goes.

You are deluding yourself if you think he and Michigan should be. There are a lot of unknowns going into this season, if there is one, and a history of falling apart towards the last part of the season when better teams expose Michigan's weaknesses.

This guy. I have a list of ppl who got all whiny during covid 19 shelter in place, hypothesized they were the same who were promoting this type of thinking. Small sample size but so far I'm right.

Preseason magazines do not play football games. Last years team had a ton of preseason hype. I would rather be under the radar and go take care of business.

Can't win a Natty unless you beat Ohio State.  He deserves to not be on this list for that purpose alone.

The only coaches on that list, IMO, that *might* be better then Jim are Cristobal, Mullen, And Riley. There’s not another name on that list that wouldn’t make me vomit if they were considered to be the HC at UM.

I’m sort of optimistic about this season.  Sure there are holes, but If DMC or JM emerge, I really like our speed in space skill players and I think Warriner will have a solid line.  Smith and Hinton must break out, and our secondary has new guys, but th LB core is going to be exciting.  Brown has done more with less in the past.  I’m up for a year where we exceed expectations.

Why should he be? He's beaten everyone that allows Michigan to get back to being a good, occasionally great program. But he hasn't beaten the one team that gets you from great to elite. I know that's kind of a recurring joke at this point, all of the "we can't do X or Y until we beat OSU," but you want to be taken seriously as a national title contender? Fine. Go beat OSU.

I think the team could be pretty good this year. They can absolutely beat the first 11 opponents on their schedule, and if McCaffery turns into a great QB then who knows what could happen. But as far as I'm concerned, the final game of the regular season is an automatic loss until Michigan proves otherwise on the field.

We were 9-4 last season and I don't think very many people expect that the team will be better in 2020 than they were in 2019.  So yeah, a Natty this coming season seems very very unlikely.

not really surprised by the list...

We don't even know who the starting QB is and are replacing 4 OLinemen... not to mention playing at OSU

Could Michigan shock the world? Sure, but until you see them on the field, I don't see anything that would lead me to be believe that he should be on the list. I would expect an out of region columnist to even know less about the two deep

Franklin at #2 seems high, but not outrageous he's on the list.
