It's Official: Blue Pants
Looks like we're going all blue for UTL III.
Those who stay will be champions....
I was skeptical at first, but these don't look half bad with blue pants. Although everytime we change something I can't help think that we're going more and more towards West Virginia or Cal.
Fuck this.
Perosnally I'd rather Michigan follow USC, Alabama, PSU and not do this stupid gimmicky jerseys but I guess we have to follow Oregon and MSU sigh.

Fuck off Dave Brandon
Why doesn't Adidas just give them all orange reflective vests to make the ensemble pop if that's what they were going for?
I mean, at least we can read the numbers?
This is coming from a younger fan too. Why must we mess with what we have? We weren't supposed to mess with the home jersey per Brandon after the first UTL. Most of the blue bloods don't wear this crap. All the schools that do are lower echelon teams that need this for people to look at them.
No need to apologize for liking these. You do, however, need to apologize for wanting maize uniforms, walmart.
Official video!
Michigan will finally get the gloves that create an image when you put them together. No penalties, please.

This video references tradition, just like the brain dead Pop Evil song. Irony much? Our one decent home game, and of course we're going to dress up like clowns. Can't say I didn't see it coming. I hate this decade of NCAAF.
FIRE RICH ROD!!!!!
Guarantee there would be 90% less bitching if we were producing consecutive 10+ win seasons, but since we are where we are, the angst (while it may be valid) gets amplified.
I don't get this argument at all. Clowniforms are clowniforms, 10 wins or 2 wins. These things are verifiably ugly and inherently unnecessary, no matter how you cut it.
It's not about us winning. Alternate uniforms are terrible. Nothing says college football like producing some random uniform that has nothing to do with your school with a different color scheme to wear.
these have something to do with the school and have the standard maize and blue color scheme. Adidas' interpretation of maize may not be to your taste, but that doesn't change the fact that the color scheme hasn't changed.

Because there's enough knuckleheads out there like WolverineDevotee that will be tripping over themselves to get to the M Den. Just a money grab.
No but anyone who drops a hundred bucks on each new jersey is a knucklehead.
I can agree with this. I bought one of each--home and road--of the authentic $180 jerseys when Michigan moved to adidas in 2008.
When they changed style completely, I bought my home and road jerseys in the premier style. Authentic is just too much for a material difference. The premiers still have sewn on numbers and are more comfortable.
Thank God they don't sell the alternates in authentic only.
I know I have a problem. It's a controlled problem though. I've stopped buying the new hockey jersey due to them changing styles every single year.
ND
OSU
Oklahoma
FSU
LSU
Florida
Nebraska
Not a fan of OSU's and Nebraska's but I like ND's a lot as well as LSU (I think LSU and USC aside from UM have the best color schemes)
p.s. I dont consider LSU a blueblood - Georgia is a blue blood. LSU is relevant the past 15-20 years but before them not really.
While they may not be "blue bloods" per se they are currently the 11th winningest school in FBS.

And they all look freaking idiotic. Thank you Dave Lemming, er Dave Brandon.

My opinion of alternate jerseys is that should capture the essence of the original jersey so that it's still identifiable. These do not. They suck ass.

If you removed the same identifying information from the other alternate jerseys, ND looks like Pitt and Oklahoma looks like Standford...your point?

Nebraska and Oklahoma? Florida or Florida State maybe? UCLA or Washinton? It looks like PSU will be sporting a new helmet design this year and of course 'Bama had their alternate unis for the BSC game a few years ago.
Come to michigan, so you can dress like a convict.
Can we fucking dump adidas and their stripe fetish already?
