Struggled a bit in the first half (other than 2 or 3 big plays) but turned it on after halftime. I never would have predicted 42 points against this Iowa defense

(Cut to a pouting Moody in his room, talking to himself…)

”I don’t get it. Field goals are worth three, and extra points are only worth one! It’s like Coach Harbaugh has lost his confidence in me or something… I’ve got to figure out what I did wrong, so I can get back to helping the team 3x as much as I’m doing now!”

The two early TDs were so perfectly executed and so important. Iowa could do all of their retrograde bullshit and it didn't matter because they were down two scores. Being uber aggressive in those early spots was the right move. The game was over halfway through the first quarter. The rest was just the result of inertia.

6 touchdowns.  Awesome long run by Blake.   Donovan and now Eric, Luke, and others one handed catch meisters.  Donovan threw a long dime, amazing.  Cade through dimes in second half.  JJ ran like a gazelle.  Haskins did his thing when needed.  42 points.  Big 10 champs.

This team found it's stride at just the right time... finally.  The fact that this is a huge group of just lovable human beings and that they are built in Jim's image as a team is enjoyable beyond words.

This coaching staff is epically good, I hope they can somehow stay together for one more year, or more.

This team has no weaknesses and has strengths spread out everywhere.  It is a complete team that's nearly impossible to build in college football.  Because of that, they will have a chance against anyone in the playoff.

I love being a strong second half team. I remember too many games Michigan has lost in the past letting teams back into it. But something clicked this year  ( other than MSU ) and it is awesome to see. I feel like if we get a lead late, we can close it out. That’s awesome.

After all of the close calls, it’s got to be super special for him to have his first career catch in the Big Ten Championship Game. I was so happy when I saw that they went back to him — and the sideline erupted as well.  We talk about team chemistry, but that’s chemistry on display.  What a wonderful moment for him and for Michigan.

Lost the turnover battle but neither one of the interceptions was a bad decision. McNamara’s was just a touch behind All and Mcarthy’s was an end of the half Hail Mary that had a chance to put Michigan up even more at the half. Even with those it was great qb play by both.

I just feel fortunate for the opportunity to post something.  Been getting shut down because of networks and electron flow.  Anyway, Josh Gattis has officially won me over because I've been "meh" on him for the past two years.  The two scores that put Michigan up 14-3 were the difference makers.  Those two big plays tell me that he did his homework.  And the guys put in the work to execute a game plan that not only resulted in victory but a resounding victory.  Hail hail to Michigan!  I am so proud of my alma mater.  We laid waste to the rest of the B1G and setting sail for the CFP.  I am going to wear that block M with more pride than ever before.  And I was a live witness at the Rose Bowl in the 1997 season triumph.  It truly is great to be a Michigan Wolverine.

Unbelievable and let's fucking goooooo!!!!

I loved the play right before Haskins' last TD. Everyone could see the blitz coming from a mile away, and Hassan was the only person there to pick it up. He freakin blew up that blitz with perfect protection and gave time for that throw. Then the one-handed tip? Then the record breaking TD?! It was all just so good. Can't wait to see the comments on that play in UFR.

Haven't seen a supposedly good defense get shredded like that since Don Brown...  (found on twitter)..   Seriously though. Cade McNamara won the Big Ten as QB and they put 42 up on 2 solid defenses in a row. If you would have bet me on that, you would have taken all my money

I loved keeping the foot on the gas late into the 4th. Make the other team stop you. And force the Committee to be brazenly bias if they don’t rightfully move us to #1.

Boy oh boy. What a delight this team is to watch!

Cade - just a tremendous season. Another fine game tonight. Dude is a flat baller.

Hassan - one of my very favorite Michigan players ever. NEVER fumbles. Pure guts. Oh man, that blitz pick-up!

Haskins-Corum-Edwards - absolutely devastating RB combo. Power, speed, pass catching, blocking. Inside and outside and down the field. Wow, just wow.

JJ - took advantage of every opportunity. Incredible athlete with some serious swag. OMG the way he Usain Bolted down the field to block for Corum!

Line - fucking mashers. So proud of those guys. Smart, strong, talented.

Play-calling - creative, smart, often stunningly effective. Takes advantage of the best talents of our best athletes. Hard to go wrong letting Hassan Haskins win games for you!

Future looks so bright. This offense is dangerous!

Go Blue! B1G Champs!

Gus Johnson:

"Corum, what a move, Corum, needs a block. Corum, down the sideline. Blake Corum, touchdown Wolverines!!

Loved that call!

So many amazing plays:

Edwards' dime to Wilson
Schoony's circus catch
All's circus catch
Corum's excellent run, with McCarthy passing on the inside, then going outside to block
Haskins becoming all-time leading Michigan running back in # of touchdowns in a season
CJ's blocked punt

Also:

Kolesar interception
Selzer's first catch (I think)

Before the game started when they were doing on the field reports, you could see the players warming up in the background. I could distinctly see Donovan Edwards, practicing throws. I thought to myself, "shouldn't he be practicing jump cuts or something? Why is he practicing showing before the game?".

Well, now we know.

Blake Corum's long TD run, the first of the game and then the Donovan Edward's long TD pass to Roman Wilson was 100% Shock and Awe!

Then came the second half and the offense really came alive and just poured it on.

And Iowa fans were glad to play Michigan instead of Ohio State prior to the game?? We made them eat those words. GOBLUE!!

The thing about this offense is there are so many weapons. There are a half-dozen guys who can hurt you badly: Haskins, Corum, Wilson, CJ, Edwards, Anthony…half-dozen undershoots it, actually. There’s also All, Henning and Sainristil.

Because there are so many of them—and because U-M doesn’t throw often—there are myriad ways to surprise the opposing defense. Edwards-to-Wilson is a great example of that. Wilson is the fastest guy on the field, but he’s probably at best the third thing the defense is thinking about in any non-third-and-long situation.
