They got this new digital video recorder. It kind of works like a VCR but instead of writing to tape, it writes to disk. Pretty neat.

2008 was rough no doubt. But only delusional die hards that weren't watching closely thought michigan was going to be even close to 500 that year. Installing (some might say recklessly cramming) a brand new offense into a program with almost 0 personal recruited for or able to run it? Sure we all hoped the defense would carry them for a while til they figured it out.
Only blue hairs squalling about that crazy mexican rodriguez thought michigan was going to be anything but on very shaky ground that season.
even then, with all rich rods screw-ups you could see the team learning, buying in, and there was an excitement for the possibilities that the future held.
There is no momentum for 2021 other than improved health; and in case you're forgetting, there wasn't much of any at the end of last year either.

FTBN. Each year, my college football fandom lessens. What was 10 on a scale of 1-10 in 1969 is now maybe a 2. Shooting for zero. Kids playing during a pandemic, assistant coaches making seven figures, TV networks dictating matchups, game times. Feh! Done! (Almost).
