I am excited for next year
Neg away, but I am excited for next year. The offense is genuinely fun to watch, and I think Gattis will get better with another off-season. Hopefully healthy competition between Milton and McCaffrey. Excited for us to blow off the roofs off of Wisco and PSU at home. Should go to Cbus undefeated. What happens will happen but I leave this year excited (unlike last year). Now time to drink every red wine in the house. Go blue!

The wave of Meyer's players?
You probably shouldn't look at this.

Certainly not this...

Yes umichshea - osu's recruiting is off the charts for 20 and 21 already.

I like your enthusiasm and share your excitement for next year. This team was mostly young. The positions being replaced are with some outstanding young players (Hinton, McCaff/Milton, Dax).
Gattis has caught something and will have all offseason to further develop the offense. Not sure if Brown will (or should) be with the team next season, but hope he can do something better than he’s done this season.

Aren’t we going to need a QB transfer? We’re actually going to use a “home grown” version next year? This Board will go ballistic if we have to rely on our own QB recruits.

Undefeated going into Columbus? You’re woefully optimistic.
We could easily lose the opening game at Washington, and will likely be underdogs going into the game given how awful this team is on the road. PSU and Wisconsin are hardly gimme games. Could easily lose at Minnesota, and if Fleck keeps that train rolling we probably will.
And then we’re going to get sodomized in Columbus again.

I’m excited for the first 11 games.

Ohio State is a pro team that cheats their way to "glory".
Fans need to accept reality or go cheer for a cheater. It is what is is.

Be as excited all you want. Just know OSU will beat Michigan’s ass again next year. You name it, they do it better

Given our situation at DT and CB - what is there to be excited about. I already have next years excuse - it’s Dylan’s first year so wait until 2021 - we’ll win the Big 10 - rinse and repeat. I’m tired of excuses. The whole program - from the coaches to the AD - unaccountable excuse makers.

Our DTs should be much better next year. 2 5 stars who won't be freshmen anymore. They really need to step up.

I've been looking forward to "next year" for over a decade. I'm tired. This is who we are. The only thing that will bring us closer to OSU is their own implosion. On second thought, they've actually had multiple and it hasn't touched them. We're not catching them. Get used to saying "next year" until death. Which, at this point, would be a sweet release from having to feel like this every year over a stupid game.

I appreciate this post. I thought, and feel we should have, kept this closer, but we didn’t. It’s in the past now, and the overall trend line is looking good, especially on defense - we lost a lot this year personnel-wise, and I feel Donny did a great job throughout the year cobbling schemes together to get the most out of the dudes.

This was suppose to be our year because of the experience.

They'll show up disinterested in the bowl game and then get nuked at UW. They never show up in big road games in intimidating environments.
They they'll win some games after that and get absolutely demolished against OSU.
Looking forward to a 3 game losing streak coming up. Go blue.

We suck. We shouldn't be allowed to play football on the same field as........
November 30th, 2019 at 7:05 PM ^
The new potential starters on D next year probably played 15 meaningful snaps all year combined. Maybe 40 all year. So it will probably start out rough.

Possible loss at Washington (just because road opener, west coast)
Loss one of at Michigan State or at Minnesota
Lose at OSU
10-2 or 9-3

No fucking way are they losing to MSU next year.

9-3 next year. I’m pumped.

Hell ya. Nine great nights drinking, three depressed nights. I’d take those odds on any night going out. Liven up - you root for the Wolverines!!!
