Howard better figure out the Assistants before he does anything else

The next big question is if Howard is going to find his own assistants.  I think he would be wise to stick with what he's got right now.

Michigan assistants under Beilein:

Saddi Washington made $305,000, Yaklich made $300,000 and Haynes made $275,000.

Yaklich recruited his ass off the last two years and Washington is a top flight assistant.  Howard better think about locking both of them at Michigan.  I don't know whether he can do that because they might be butthurt that they weren't selected for the head job, but they have all the recruiting connections (including Wilson and Bajema).

I can't see Yaklich staying or Juwan keeping him on.  They interviewed for the same job that one of them got and the other one didn't.  Just feels like a bad road to go down.

Relax. The guy will hire a good staff that will include some new faces. Change is good. Let the new guy pick his management team.

Well hopefully during his internship with Spoelstra the last several years the topic of what assistant coaches are and why they are important was brought up for Juwan or we might be in trouble.

If we retain Yaklich I'm happy.  If we don't,I'll say this, that many who excluded Yaklich for the top job based on lack of h ad coach experience, should remember that neither does Juwan.

Man, you're right, Howard really does need to worry about assistants!  This is a brand new take that hasn't been discussed before at all, I'm glad you brought this to the board's attention for the very first time ever! Next you're going to break that Yaklich is interviewing elsewhere, and we'll need to throw big money at him to keep him.

Moms, can we please get a CC snowflake thread or something similar?  Obviously the Howard hire is big news, but we don't need thirty posts with everyone dropping their two cents about every aspect of it.
