Reasons for optimism:  week one woes can possibly be contributed to, like, week one stuff. Week two woes can possibly be attributed to weird army stuff. Bye week comes at a perfect time.

Reasons for pessimism: Did you even WATCH the games?!?!  BPONE, and such.

Lived this situation (for significantly less money) and it's not great. In this case, it seems even more so, since their both defensive minded. Give the man freedom to do what he wants and he'll be successful

Best of luck. We hoped for a poor man's Jadeveon Clowney. We got a rich man's (?) Ryan Van Bergen. Go make that $$, stay healthy.

I feel like...get a…

I feel like...get a meaningful win and there won't be "typical bullshit comments" after a 30 point loss to a rival. Fuck you for settling for that type of let down.

"Before the season" folk fail to realize that Wisconsin and Penn State were top ten programs before the year. At it stands now, they are.... Not that. Borderline unranked. We have zero wins against good teams. The first healthy qb we faced we absolutely, unobjevely shit the Fucking bed. We are bit a good team this year. And what a disappointment that is. We fail to use our 4/5* receivers. Our 5* DE is an absolute no show.

Stop. 100% failure of a year. Even if we win the tuttyfuck whocares.com bowl.

No. It was not a good year…

No. It was not a good year. No big ten championship. No meaningful wins. Ass season. Objectively overrated, again.

It will be interesting to…

It will be interesting to see UFR. I thought Shea passed on a lot of short stuff early in his reads. Don't know if he was looking for bigger plays, but there definitely seemed chances for 3-5 yard gains right away, in quite a few cases.

Also, Ambry being out on the field seems to open some things up, and provide a bit of a spark, even if he doesn't touch the ball. Get him in early and often.

Amen

Who did?

I don't think he's as great…

I don't think he's as great in space as we think

No. I just think Evans, in…

No. I just think Evans, in this current role and series of play calls, hinders the offense more than he helps

I guess this is my point. I…

I guess this is my point. I don't think Chris Evans shiftiness warrants playing him above Tru Wilson, when pass blocking is from the running back is so critical to our offenses success at moving the ball. The slight drop off in ability with ball in hand (I think Evans is overrated here, and over a period of time Wilson's one cut and go, would result in as many yards as Evans shiftiness) pales in comparison to Wilson's ability to pass block. And the pass blocking makes us much more of a complete offense.

"No, Chris has that twitch…

"No, Chris has that twitch to make anyone in the nation fall on their ass"

I think this is based on perception, and not reality

Why?

Why?

Listen..we don't have many…

Listen..we don't have many play makers on offense.  Maybe Higdon, maybe Gentry, maybe DPJ. If Higdon is out, you're left with DPJ, and Gentry.

You can only get those two the ball by throwing it.  Why keep Evans in the game if he significantly goobers your ability to get the ball to your playmakers.

Evans himself is not a playnaker or home-run threat right now.

I can't remember a game where Evans was productive and Higdon was not. I feel like Evans is mediocre running, and overrated in one on one situations. He lost several one on one battles Saturday with ball in hand.

I think the positives of Tru, far outweigh the positives of Chris right now. If playcalling changes, perhaps Chris ciuld be the #2. But as of now, his strengths aren't being used. The way I see it right now, rhe difference is this :

An 8 yard run for Tru is a 12 yard run for Chris.  (Sometimes Chris will make people miss where Tru wouldn't, and sometimes Tru will put his head down and gain two more yards than Chris would have.) However, every pass play with Chris in could result in a blown assignment and a sack. I'd rather sacrifice 4 yards when the line actually blocks well (rare), in the name of a balanced offensive attack. Evans just diesnt bring anything unique to the scheme right now, and I think reliable blocking is far more valuable

I just feel as though Evans…

I just feel as though Evans doesn't really add anything to the offense right now.  He is not as good as Higdon running the ball.  He doesn't pass block as well as Tru.  He isn't being used as a passing threat out of the backfield.

If the staff can find a way to utilize strengths, sure, keep him at 2.  But as play calling stands right now, i think Tru's positives outweigh what Evans can do.

That Ambry Thomas gets at…

That Ambry Thomas gets at least 5 snaps a game on offense. On a team completely devastated by attrition at WR, on a team with zero home run threats, on a team with secondary depth out the wazoo...it’s insane to me that someone as electric as Ambry wouldn’t be used more.

Failure to to do so will cause me to cry, and to question if Jim has any creativity left.

I'm losing faith in Harbaugh…

I'm losing faith in Harbaugh's ability to do anything creative on offense. If Ambry Thomas doesn't start getting touches, on an offense with a depleted receiving corps, and no home run threats, I will cry.

Joe Pa didn't see D.J…

Joe Pa didn't see D.J. Forcing zach Smith to fuck my fake girlfriend in 100 degree heat.

I think last year's defense…

I think last year's defense holds the unofficial season record for most quarterbacks knocked out of a game. Felt damn close to 100%

Viper Anybody else a little nervous about the future of the VIPER!!! Position? I feel like missing out on Otis Reese and Willie Gay types in back to back years is a little bit alarming.
Kudos The ncaa does a lot of things horribly, horribly wrong. Good on them for at least attempting to be innovative / adaptive. I think they should experiment with the FIBA trapezoid lane, while they are at it.
I be like....dang! I be like....dang!
Bye Pep, fire Drevno Pay big monies and convince Sumlin to be our OC
So .....
Speight Is not good enough to win a championship. I've said it since last year. The guy is just simply way too inaccurate on short throws. Instead of a catch and run for ten yards, our receivers are consistently having to adjust and fall to the ground to make the catch. Those types of plays ruin drives and take points off the board.
Color Rush Triple post
Color Rush Double post
Color Rush Similar to the Thursday NFL games. Florida will be wearing all blue uniforms
Quarterbacks Not sure those are the official uniform for Saturday's game. Could be a practice where Harbaugh didn't want his quarterbacks hit. And they must have lost the orange jerseys. #RIPBradyHoke
Fake news Sad.
Keith Washington He wins returner of the year this year!...according to my Xbox and NCAA 14
Navarre classically underrated, Denard classically overrated I would up vote this 100 times if I could.
Marlin Jackson Would love to see how Don Brown would use him Or Jason Avant, give the receiving corps some experience

Lamar HS in Houston Competition is some of the best in TX. 5A division 1. Arguably some of the best in the nation
Agreed I think every team needs a guy who can make people miss, create in space, and return some punts.
Respectful disagree With college football becoming more and more 'basketball on grass' and like 7on7 I think he could go to anywhere in the big 12 and be productive.
No But it's a weekday in May. And OT season.
A few In order to be great in any sport, I think you have to have one elite skill. Some questions if Paul Millsap would be effective in the NBA coming from a small school. But he was an elite rebounder. That skill translated to a higher level of competition. This kid has elite 'wiggle'. I think he'd be amazing in space at any level.
