if you're so sure, bet that they cover the spread
February 4th, 2020 at 11:11 AM ^
Yes, please post your bet slip OP
6.6.0February 4th, 2020 at 11:55 AM ^
I see you made an upgrade, up to 6.6.0, what were the updates?
February 4th, 2020 at 12:23 PM ^
Should we be concerned that whatever 6.5.0 is seems to be progressing?
February 4th, 2020 at 1:43 PM ^
Apparently 6.5.0 turned out to have Corona virus
February 4th, 2020 at 3:24 PM ^
I have no fucking clue! I wish someone could tell me why that stuff keeps popping up on my comments. I'm embarrassed.
6.6.0February 4th, 2020 at 12:39 PM ^
We're favored?
February 4th, 2020 at 11:04 AM ^
Both teams have won two straight while dropping a bunch in a row before that. It's a reasonable line.
February 4th, 2020 at 1:46 PM ^
Uh uh - KenPom says it's 2.5 times too high
February 4th, 2020 at 11:05 AM ^
Just a bold guess, but maybe it's because Michigan is not that great either?
February 4th, 2020 at 1:18 PM ^
Not so sure it's about both teams not being good but more about the B1G being really balanced and strong this year. I have to go with UM tonight on our home court.
February 4th, 2020 at 11:05 AM ^
Solid jinx on your part.
February 4th, 2020 at 11:17 AM ^
Yeah, this here is going to be tough to overcome. Not impossible, but this OP just made the job tonight measurably more difficult.
February 4th, 2020 at 11:06 AM ^
And we suck worse. It’s not that hard of an assessment.
February 4th, 2020 at 11:39 AM ^
Well technically the odds makers think OSU sucks 2.5 points worse.
February 4th, 2020 at 11:50 AM ^
i don't know what the home/away split is worth in basketball, but i assume it's more than 2.5 points, so technically the odds-makers think we suck worse than osu, but not enough to mitigate home court advantage
February 4th, 2020 at 12:19 PM ^
Michigan home court is worth about 3.5 points so Ohio State would likely be a small favorite or at worst pick'em on a neutral site
February 4th, 2020 at 12:50 PM ^
A neutral site like Nationwide Arena?
February 4th, 2020 at 11:07 AM ^
They have a slightly better record than we do, they don't have a "bad" loss yet (just like us), so we're pretty evenly matched, but we get the nod because of home court.
Why is that so difficult for you to understand?
February 4th, 2020 at 11:07 AM ^
They’ve looked better in recent games (similar to us) and may have stabilized some although one of their recent wins was against Northwestern.
We’ve been on a similar track to OSU actually and this game is really interesting because it could serve to separate although they’ll have a chance at us again at their place. We definitely need to take tonight’s game no ifs ands or buts about it but OSU does not suck.
February 4th, 2020 at 11:10 AM ^
We've lost 5 out of our last 8 and are missing our best player to injury. OSU has lost a bunch recently and is missing a key player, too, but is a talented squad. I'm not sure what you think would be an appropriate spread vs a team ranked higher than us in KenPom/NET/etc.?
2.5 points seems pretty realistic. I hate OSU, but this is a pretty dumb post. They don't suck at basketball.
February 4th, 2020 at 12:16 PM ^
Is your avatar Sparty committing acts of bestiality?
February 4th, 2020 at 12:20 PM ^
Yes, I believe there is a story behind it. Like an MSU employee got busted for beastiality a couple years ago or something along those lines.
February 4th, 2020 at 1:00 PM ^
Yup. Here you go. Believe it or......well obviously it's believable cuz Staee
February 4th, 2020 at 1:12 PM ^
WTF.... I never read this before. What is wrong with these people?
February 4th, 2020 at 3:44 PM ^
It looks like the shocker.
February 4th, 2020 at 11:13 AM ^
You must not watch college basketball, huh? Especially B1G basketball
February 4th, 2020 at 11:15 AM ^
Easy there, tiger.
February 4th, 2020 at 11:18 AM ^
Tonight we find out which team sucks less
February 4th, 2020 at 11:19 AM ^
casinos typically use math-backed models for their spreads, but here, i bet once they saw that Benvom thought their numbers are wrong, they quickly changed course and used the "which team sucks?" model.
February 4th, 2020 at 11:21 AM ^
The only issue with that is I don't even think the "which team sucks" analysis comes out in our favor, really. If you look at the entire picture, if posed the question "which team sucks" my response would be "it's close, but probably Michigan."
February 4th, 2020 at 12:03 PM ^
I don’t mean to offend you but you either accidentally used the word,”entire” or maybe you’re not sure what that means. Anyways, we are not world beaters without Livers. However, we have beaten the number two team in the nation, with Livers. So with that being said, “Ohio sucks always” and so do you for saying that “we” suck.
FIFY
February 4th, 2020 at 12:09 PM ^
I was kind of joking around. You take things too seriously.
February 4th, 2020 at 1:23 PM ^
I get it and trust me I do this for entertainment purposes only. So I’m sorry if you misplaced my sentiment because I actually only take family and Michigan football seriously. GO BLUE!!!
February 4th, 2020 at 11:25 AM ^
I think the line should be 3.
February 4th, 2020 at 11:27 AM ^
Must not have factored the fear caused by the stripe out.
February 4th, 2020 at 11:31 AM ^
Kenpom #12 team.
Uggh this is a bad take.
February 4th, 2020 at 11:37 AM ^
I’d lean toward Michigan to cover the 2.5, but doesn’t seem like a crazy spread. We’ve lost two straight home games to teams not that much better than OSU.
February 4th, 2020 at 11:38 AM ^
Yeah, but we only lost those games because we didn't have Livers....
oh...wait...
February 4th, 2020 at 12:44 PM ^
We’ve lost two straight home games
Technically, not true as we beat Rutgers in a "home game."
February 4th, 2020 at 11:42 AM ^
I agree OP. Stupid math algorithms spitting out Michigan -2.5 which is then moved upward or downward depending on the amount of handle the book has on each side of the betting line. Stupid casinos wanting to balance their risk by moving betting lines to encourage an even distribution of bets on both sides thereby ensuring a profit via the vig.
A much better way of establishing a betting line would be to look at which team Benvom likes better and make them a hundred jillion point favorite for every game especially when they're playing a team Benvom doesnt like. That would be a much more better way of doing things.
Michigan should be favored by a hundred jillion points. Or more even. LOTS AND LOTS more in fact given our awesomeness and how stinky bad those stupid OSU players are.
February 4th, 2020 at 11:45 AM ^
because........
FIRE HARBAUGH!
February 4th, 2020 at 11:46 AM ^
Three words: Isiah Livers' availability.
February 4th, 2020 at 11:46 AM ^
Three words: Isiah Livers' availability.
EDIT: Double. My bad. Apparently it's six words now.
February 4th, 2020 at 11:49 AM ^
I’m good with a 2.5 pt victory tonight
February 4th, 2020 at 11:50 AM ^
Do you really have to ask why we are underdogs to osu?
February 4th, 2020 at 12:11 PM ^
Do you really understand the concept of UM being the favorite?
February 4th, 2020 at 11:50 AM ^
I know we're all excited after our big win against Rutgers, but let's not get carried away.
February 4th, 2020 at 11:58 AM ^
Troll
February 4th, 2020 at 12:06 PM ^
How are you this much of an imbecile?
