How many middle LB’s can do this?

Stomped on the logo, played a great defensive game and did a double back flip in victorious fashion...Spartan Stadium is now Devin Bush Stadium.

I mean it was a back handspring into a backflip. I'm not sure how many people alive can do a standing double back flip. Still impressive, but not at the level you describe haha.

Actually it was a roundoff into a back flip. The roundoff gives you the reversing momentum to pull the legs around on the flip. As an all too old former gymnast who pulled every muscle in his core trying to do a simple back handspring a few years ago, I smile at this because the feeling of throwing yourself through the air, flipping and sticking the landing is a rush that is very hard to describe. Doing that in football gear makes him an even bigger monster than he was.

Didn't know that had a different name. TIL. Thanks!

I do a standing backflip at least once a year on my bday. Just to know “I still got it”

But can he do the TRIPLE LINDY?

Not to mention after playing a physical football game for hours.

It was so exciting that the person who recorded it couldn’t hold still.
October 23rd, 2018 at 12:33 PM ^
I know I wish it was still

You will never believe what happened next...

Apparently one middle LB from Michigan and one DT from Wisconsin can.
October 23rd, 2018 at 12:48 PM ^
That’s awesome. Flipping for Victory is becoming a tradition for us in Spartan Stadium.

That is a cool trick, Mr. Bush. But lets up your game and crank an opponent in such a way that they complete the very same acrobatic maneuver but in a completely involuntary manner....preferably a buckeye.

In a way he's Peppers with another 25-30 lbs packing a punch.

I think an OSU player saw this and tried to replicate against Purdue. Fortunately, he failed and hit the punter for a 15 yard penalty.

I loved the announcers on that call, "Meyer can't believe what he just saw, a 300lb lineman doing a cartwheel into the punter" as if the guy was doing it on purpose.

Uber athletic. If he would’ve only been about 6’2”. Some athletes have an extra gear when they are running another person down. Not all have it. It’s almost like some sort of extra energy burst when you pinpoint your moving target and fly to it. I never could get it on the track in sprints but man on the fb field you can see it on tape. Lewis that time against Utah I think it was. That wasn’t his normal speed. He was booking.

Good thing he's not 6'2", otherwise we couldn't tell scouts he's too short for the NFL. Better stick around Ann Arbor for another year and work on growing taller.

Not funny.

Actually, quite a number of them. It's not like Bush is the only really athletic MLB out there. If they're playing college ball - even group of 5 or lower divisions, they're all pretty athletic. Some are just better football players than others.
October 23rd, 2018 at 2:07 PM ^
Yeah I get that but I bet not too many can pull this off and stick the landing almost on one foot.
October 23rd, 2018 at 2:10 PM ^
Jesus. I thought this was going to be a video of him chasing down LJ Scott and preventing a TD. That backflip is impressive. Whichever NFL squad is lucky enough to land him will be getting a probowler with a 10+ year career.

Can't say it is the first time. Coached at Loy Norrix in Kzoo in the mid 2000s and I remember the day before a game multiple players, waiting around for some reason, challenging each other to do all kinds of flips. Each sequence they performed got harder each time, in cleats and some gear the waist down. It was incredible how easy they made it look.
October 23rd, 2018 at 3:54 PM ^
I would really prefer he would not do that until after the season!
October 23rd, 2018 at 4:41 PM ^
Don't like Bush giving away our Flip six three hole play before the next game.

Plus one to you sir.
